A ++ 1000 stars would not be enough. I notice immediately that "safty first" is top priority. This put me at ease,right away, with them wearing proper gear, ie helmets, eye protection, gloves ect. As well Notifying me the night before , if the weather or any other obstacles is in way of their work they would reschedule. I had a major time crunch and they were able to get me in the next day. They also have the best price in town. With no additional cost from estimate. Price includes the break down of branches, wood and cleanup. I took in a total of 5 bids and the other companies were way higher adding few hundred for clearn up. Monster Tree was more professional, very kind , yet simpler to communicate my needs on a human level. Where as other companies want to tell me what I need making cost higher. Monster Tree noticed one thing I did miss durning the estimate visit , which really was a nessary. So glad they caught that. While other companies want a few hundred more for break down wood or carry off property. Monster Tree brings all equipment and machinery , making it easier ,less expensive and yet safe. Super cool to watch inside and impressive machinery. Thank you so much.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Justin at Monster Tree Service both as a subcontractor (doing stump grinding) and as a customer for tree work. If I could give it a negative one star I would!! I had a guy come out, did a walk around my entire property. Explained what it was that I needed now and what I know I would need in the future, being 2026. Asked if he would send me two separate quotes, one for the work needed now and one for the later. He said yes, gave some great tips on a large maple tree in my far backyard, mentioned how they would need to get through my gates to bring their machine in the backyard to get to the two Sycamore trees and he left stating I would get a quote within a week. A week went by, a week and a half, almost two weeks and nothing. I called the company, they finally sent out a quote two days after. INCORRECT! They were trying to group the later work in with what I asked for first. Three different quotes on the paper, all separate items and NOTHING of what I asked. This foolishness took place three times and I had to call three times, because each quote sent back to me was the items moved around still adding the future project with the current project and leaving off a part of the current project to add in a different quote. That last time I called spoke with some woman who sounds inebriated when answering the phone, she asked for me to give the information to her, that possibly the guy may have misunderstood what I was asking for and that she'd make sure they update it and send it w/in a week. Gave it to her, she mentioned how simple that was and that she thought it was clear what I was asking for. It was Concise.........Clear as faucet water what I asked for Maple tree in front yard trim back branches, Sycamore tree in backyard trim back branches that were too close to the house. Far back Maple tree since it was splitting to be taken care of spring 2026. Giving her this information almost two weeks ago and still NO UPDATED QUOTE!! Very Poor Business.

The three-man team arrived about 10 minutes before their appointed time. Impressive. Three men each introduce themselves to me. Ben the lead arborist and I went over the plan for the day look to the trees that are going to be trimmed and cut back and there were two Birch trees in maple tree and a red spire cherry tree no pear tree in the back. Also a couple of weird limbs in the middle of some arborvitae that they also took care of. Each man had a work to do and they just went about their business each doing their jobs and then once in a while one guy would go to assist another one with whatever and when that job or chore was done then he would go back to his work. They have helmets they wear with communication devices so they were talking back and forth to each other while they were doing the work either up in the tree or on the ground or by the shredder. I'm a customer with high expectations. The team met my expectations in every way. From the trimming of the trees to responding to request I had for additional trimming here or there to the final cleanup of the yard and then on the street by the shredder. They unequivocally are the best that I've ever used. There's another well-known high visibility tree service company in the area that I've used once before. They out front personnel was rude and difficult and abrasive. Monster tree service for my value system, is at the top of the peak and I would recommend them without reservation. I'm very pleased, my wife is very pleased and when we're both pleased it's a good good night. If you need tree services use Monster service. You'll be pleased.

In mid-May 2025, a major severe storm system hit West Michigan, and it was a doozy! One massive tree crashed onto our home on the Westside of Grand Rapids, and another came down on our detached shed. Just before midnight that Thursday, I contacted our insurance company to start a claim.To our surprise and relief, by 7:15 a.m. Friday morning, Justin from Monster was already at our home assessing the damage and getting things in motion. We couldn’t believe how quickly help arrived — it truly felt like a stroke of luck.Justin, along with every single person on the crew (including those who returned later to handle the less urgent work), was kind, respectful, and professional. They cleaned up thoroughly as they went, leaving nothing behind for us to rake, sweep, or worry about.This might sound like a small detail, but I also really appreciated that the crew used a communication system instead of shouting over loud equipment.
