Not many people shop around for funeral homes, at least we didn't. One of the reasons I originally chose Verheyden Funeral home was proximity and I had been there prior for a previous funeral years past. That being said, it turned out to be a wonderful choice. Allison was very kind in helping us plan a simple memorial service for our father. We didn't feel pushed into doing anything extra, she asked us questions about our father, offered options and explained the process. One of the other things we felt was nice, is they only have one service/viewing at a time so anyone arriving is there for you and your loved one. There is a small kitchen area for you to bring food and beverages as well as a small sitting room which works out well if you need a break or have young ones. Everything went well the day of the memorial. The other staff members were all very helpful and kind. They greeted family and friends upon arrival and were very helpful when we were setting up photo displays. Since the funeral they have reached out just to follow up and see how the family is doing and if there was anything else they can help with. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a family oriented place to assist you in any memorial or funeral arrangements. It's hard enough to plan things while you are grieving but for us at least they made the process less stressful.

Elizabeth and Joeseph were absolutely A-1!!! Kind, compassionate, open to help out and be there on a personal basis (when the world has gone away from such customer service) was so appreciated! The facilty at the Verheyden Funeral Home was clean and decorated just right. In such an unfortunate time I highly recommend these guys ❤️
