I hired Kelly Crow and Go To Guy to perform extensive deck repairs for my Candler Park home in 2020. Many of the deck boards, joists, and posts had rotted, and needed to be repaired. Kelly charged me over $15,000 for the work, which involved replacing all of our boards, many of the components of our stairs, and several of our joists. Unfortunately, fast-forward to August of 2024, and the problem with rot was back. The Trex boards that Kelly installed were fine, but several of the joists that Kelly opted not to replace had become completely rotten. Both the stairs and the main body of the deck were in such bad shape that both needed to be completely rebuilt. I couldn't in good conscience use Go To Guy again when their last repairs didn't even last me four years. However, I did contact Kelly to see if he would refund any of what we originally paid him, given what happened, and he refused. Ultimately, I had to spend even more than I originally spent with Kelly to have the deck completely rebuilt. The work that Go To Guy did had to be completely removed. I would not recommend working with this contractor on a deck repair project. Less

Kelly and his team did a great job on our deck. We needed to completely replace a deck from 1992 that was in bad shape, and decided to expand the footprint, add a pergola, and go with Trex on the deck boards and railing top caps. Kelly communicated with us through the process, taking my design ideas and inspiration images and translating them into something that could be built. He provided a variety of Trex and alternate samples we could choose from. Once the materials came in, the deck construction process took around 4 days with the crew all mobilized, which was nice and quick. We appreciated that the team also replaced some siding boards on the house that were rotting and properly installed flashing and everything to protect both our house and the new deck. A couple months after construction, we noticed some warped boards in the pergola, and Kelly and his guys quickly came out to assess the issue and were able to add some intermediate supports to straighten things out in a few hours. I would definitely recommend this company for the good communication and pride in their work. Less

Kelly's team did an excellent job. They replaced the worn out deck on the back of our house, including the joists and support poles, in a single weekend. The team, a very friendly group, showed up early in the morning to get started and worked until almost sundown. They were courteous and professional throughout the job. The new composite deck and black railing are a vast improvement over our previous wood deck and have a 25 year warranty to boot. After the work was complete, Kelly came by the next day to inspect the final product with us and get our feedback on how we felt the job went (quite well, thanks). If you need a new deck, I would highly recommend getting a quote from Go To Guy Home Services.
