Our project managers Rick and Steve were all over it to ensure everything was addressed as work progressed. In the end, we got a very high quality basement that met our expectations. At the beginning, Taylor helped us with the design. She’s awesome. She helped us with dimensions that best fit our needs and helped us design our dream basement. She’s great. During the actual work, communication was a little frustrating at times. We’d think we would get someone showing up to work then no one would show with no heads up. We were told it would take 6 weeks, then 5 weeks and the project ended after 8 weeks. Overall, quality of work is awesome. We got our dream basement. My only area of opportunity would be for better communication. Also, there was no containment during drywall so we had furniture in storage get extremely dusty, which we had to clean on our own at the end. So I recommend making sure that containment gets done. The project was completed in September of 2024 with immediate warranty issues. Throughout the entirety of the project, we experienced numerous errors, poor quality workmanship in several instances, and gaps in communication. This resulted in additional cost to the builder and time on our project (5+ months longer than expected). It was an incredibly stressful experience for us as the homeowners. I had a rear entry door off of my deck that was in very bad shape and needed replacement (no maintenance from previous owner). I knew that the job would likely involve some siding/flashing work, and probably some structural work as well. From previous reviews, it seemed like Third Space was a quality company that could easily handle this job.I was pleased with the entire process. Every person I spoke to, including Richard (owner), Dustin, and Brandon (project manager), was pleasant and courteous. While it took a bit of time between quoting and project start, once the job was underway, Brandon worked efficiently. I appreciated the fact that he kept the work area neat and organized, both inside and outside. Communication was good during the door replacement, and Brandon even handled a couple of small requests (outside of project scope) without questions. The finish work on the replaced door and frame is great (paint, threshold, trim – all great).Based on my experience, I would use Third Space Builders again. I think they typically handle larger jobs than mine, but this was a good opportunity for me to see their work on a smaller scale. I will definitely be using them for my first big renovation project, whether that’s an outdoor living space, or a bathroom or kitchen renovation. Less
