Update March 2026:David, the technician working at my daughter's rental house, is another prime example of what great customer service and pest services are offered by this company. David not only gave a complete and thorough update to the girls, but also took the time to do that with me. We are not getting updates regarding this ongoing bat and rodent issue from the management company, so Pest Pros has gone above and beyond to be sure that the tenants (my daughter and roommates) and myself (as a co-signer) know and understand the situation and solutions that are being utilized at the rental property. David also gave the girls a heads up about potential situations that could arise now that the basement is sealed off, and made sure the girls have his contact number to call for assistance in case of any problems. I cannot say enough good things about how this company conducts business.Original Review:We have had two GREAT experiences with Pest Pros in Portage, Michigan. In my college daughter's rental house, Pest Pros (Tyler) came quickly on a Saturday to remove a bat that the girls had trapped in their basement. A few days later, Scott, came to do a live bat extraction estimate for this rental home that has a colony of bats living in the attic. Scott was professional and also very compassionate to me and the girls and our concerns about the situation. He patiently answered questions and did not dismiss our fears (and disgust) over the situation. He also explained the timeline for bat extraction according to seasons and temperatures and also bat reproduction cycles and the limits that put on bat extraction. He then took a great deal of time to carefully inspect the basement (where yet another bat had been seen the night before) and explained how he thought the bat had left through a large opening in the crawl space to alleviate the girls fears about going to the basement to do their laundry. After that, he took a very long time going around the exterior and locating several "weak points" and also the very clear main entry point for the bat colony. He explained how he could not enter the attic to remove the bats because they were not technically in a "living space," but did confirm that there were several living in the attic, as we had feared. He then got a detailed quote to the rental management company before 5:00 p.m. so that the process could get underway immediately. If I could have hired Scott and Pest Pros on the spot, I would have done so. Scott understood the discomfort that the girls and I have about the entire situation, and helped educate us and give us some peace of mind that if Pest Pros is hired, the bats will not reside with in my daughter's rental house any longer! For my own family's home, we will be keeping Scott's Pest Pros business card for any/all pest help in the future! Thank you Scott!
