The house in Cutler Bay ticked all those boxes. It was also very clean, comfortable and conveniently located near the family and events we were there for. The layout and decor gave all the vacation vibes we'd hoped for, that included the small but tranquil backyard. One surprise was the near daily appearance of peacocks in the adjoining lot and surrounding neighborhood. Apparently, they are considered an invasive species but they are majestic to see. There were plenty of other birds to watch and listen to if that's your thing. Despite the wildlife the property is located less than half a mile from a shopping center with a Publix, shops and restaurants. You could even walk to them, mood and weather permitting. The host was very responsive, providing all information and answering questions quickly after we booked. They checked in via email after our arrival to ensure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this property if you're in Cutler Bay, Homestead and surrounding areas. Less

The only problem we had was the location. When we booked on VRBO the location made it appear that it was down in Placencia village. The only problem we had was the location. When we booked on VRBO the location made it appear that it was down in Placencia village. However when you look up the Placencia Resort it is located about 10 miles north up the peninsula. Definitely not walkable but we were only there for three nights so we didn’t mind paying for a taxi into town one of the days ($25 USD each way). We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this property. I have been to several AirBnBs, and I can say without a doubt that this has been my favorite. A few words to describe this property are: professional, thorough and thoughtful. From our first exchange of messages, Caroline and her team were extremely professional. The manner in which they responded was always timely and being sure to follow up for any details. The front desk personnel at the actual building were also very professional as well. I found them to be kind and on top of what was needed for a fast check-in process. I think if we all learn to treat others with respect, you’d find that most will respond accordingly. Considering the fact that it’s a mixed building, with residents and Airbnb's, I actually chose this place BECAUSE of how strict they are. It’s what keeps the building flowing in a clean and safe way. I loved that Host & Keep also provided a very thorough guest book with everything you could need to know to have a comfortable stay. Very organized. Lastly, the layout and amenities involved in the property were clearly thought out. Everything we needed was provided. Coffee pot, toaster, cookware, sugar, coffee, cutlery - everything we needed for the week away. Traveling with dogs can sometimes prove a mission, but this unit made it so easy and seamless to travel.
