Deeply Disappointed by Neglect and Dishonesty – Please Review Your Staff and ProceduresI've never left a bad review before but I really felt this one was warranted due to our recent experience at the Hive on October 25, 2025, which left my husband and I concerned with the care and integrity of the staff.I have previously overlooked several smaller issues—missing water bottles(even with labels), a dismissive front desk demeanor, even an instance where my son’s shoes went missing and no one bothered to help locate them( I literally had to carry him out). But this most recent visit left me too concerned to stay silent.I checked in my two children (ages 3 and 4) around 1:35 PM. When we arrived, the front desk staff did not greet or acknowledge us; I think I ended up having to greet her. I filled out the required forms and clearly noted that I had brought fresh fruit from home, which I verbally confirmed with the front desk before placing their lunchboxes in the cubby. My kids did not get a chance to eat before arriving at the Hive so I had filled their lunch boxes to the brim with fruits and lil' bite brownies.When I returned at 5:35 PM, I was shocked to see both of my children crying hysterically through the window, with staff appearing to ignore their distress. My husband and I rushed in expecting information that usually follows hysterically crying children. No one greeted us or attempted to explain what had happened. We immediately tried to comfort our children, and as I gathered their things, I noticed both lunchboxes were in the exact same position I left them—completely untouched and unopened, filled to the brim with their fruits and brownies. At that point my 3 and 4 yr old had not eaten anything for 5-6 hrs except a little bag of veggie straws(if that is even true).As soon as I handed them their lunchboxes in the car, both children devoured the food within minutes. It was painfully clear that they had not been fed or offered their lunch. Now to me, this is very upsetting and I wish I could say it was the first time this happened but no ITS THE THIRD TIME.As we were driving away, we decided to call the center for clarification. The person who answered (who appeared to be the same one who checked us in and out) said she “just got there and needed to ask the teacher". She let us know the children were crying because they were fighting with one another (I really wanted to say -Hmm yeah what do you expect from two hungry kids).When I asked about the uneaten lunchboxes, she again claimed to need to “check with the teacher,” then responded that the teacher had offered the food, but the children “just picked at it.”THAT WAS COMPLETLY UNTRUE AND I SAY THIS WITH 100% CERTAINTY. My children have never refused fruit or brownies, and my four-year-old repeatedly said that no one ever gave him his lunchbox. IT WAS DEEPLY FRUSTRATING TO FEEL NOT ONLY THAT MY CHILDREN'S NEEDS WERE NEGLECTED BUT ALSO THAT STAFF LIED TO COVER IT UP. WHAT ELSE ARE YOU LYING ABOUT? Please tell me, what is the point of filling out the forms if no one looks at them?!TO THE OWNER AND MANAGER: PLEASE REVIEW YOUR RECORDINGS FROM THAT DAY. I am confident they will confirm that my children were never offered their lunchboxes and that the explanation we received was FALSE. Show me the recording of my children eating out of their lunchboxes and I’ll gladly remove this review—but I urge you to investigate this seriously.Children deserve attentive care, honesty, and compassion. Please take a close look at your staff’s communication, attentiveness, and honesty. Parents trust you with their most precious loved ones. That trust has been severely broken, and I truly hope you use this feedback to ensure no other family has a similar experience.Priscilla Ballesteros
