I started with Leanne at Your Body by Design in 2018. I had experienced personal trainers who took it as a sign of success if I worked so hard I vomited. Leanne’s approach from the outset was different - “I want to build you, not break you.” And she has! I am still training in 2023 (and planning on beyond) with strength sessions twice a week, and joining in hiking sessions. I have become strong enough to hike multi-day adventures thanks to Leanne’s training and I love it! The focus is on my well-being first and foremost by improving my health and fitness consistently. I’m in my 50’s and all recent attempts to participate in gym workouts (before Leanne) had resulted in disaster due to group programs designed for young, fit, uninjured bodies. Leanne’s approach could not be more different. She works with every individual in a small group setting to ensure exercise is appropriate and safe and oriented to individual goals. For example, my goals centre around keeping up with my grandson, not running marathons. Leanne also has an interesting approach to eating and weightloss for those who are interested. I have been successful in losing weight with these techniques which involve identifying foods that react with my body. Once again, a program that is all very individualised. On top of all of this Leanne is great human being - down to earth and fun and she works in the most glorious setting in Clear Mountain. I highly recommend a visit. Less

I found Leanne through FaceBook and she seemed like the right fit as she knew what she was talking about and at 62 I didn't want to go to a young persons gym and risk injuring myself. Leanne has the knowledge and certainly delivered by making sure I am using the right techniques and always has another option if you can't do the exercise until you are stronger. I always feel safe in whatever exercise I'm doing. I thoroughly enjoy my sessions, a big bonus and I would highly recommend anyone of any age wanting to improve their fitness to just GO!!!! and try it out. I promise you won't be disappointed. Less

I met Leanne and I knew straight away that she was the right fitness and health coach to train me. She takes the time to truly understand you and your goals. She designs training programs suited to your body and helps you achieve the results you want. Her boutique studio in clear mountain is awesome, and I love training out in fresh air. Lots of choices to help you achieve your goals from small semi private strength training, one on one personal training and small group classes. Love the pt sessions. Leanne knows how to push me and after only 6 weeks I’m already gaining strength and stamina.
