I was a first time mom getting her son’s haircut, I know absolutely nothing and was extremely nervous because I didn’t want my kid “to lose curls”. I called to schedule the appointment and immediately put at ease and being educated on how the appointment will go. Show up for appointment and we had J who was an absolute god send. Not only walked me through different things he can do but educated me on how to keep my kids hair healthy and happy. Absolutely best experience!!!

Kat was absolutely excellent for my son’s first hair cut. I was worried because he’s so particular and on the move non stop. He’s about to be two so I was just worried lol but Kay did great with him and was super patient and understanding! Great experience overall and he loved the place!

We had an incredible experience at Sharkey’s Tucson. We originally scheduled an appointment for my son’s first haircut, but he was not able to complete it. As embarrassed and overwhelmed as we felt in the moment, everyone there was kind, patient, and understanding. J gave us genuinely helpful advice: bring him in just to say hi, practice at home with the comb they provided, and slowly help him get comfortable with the idea of a haircut.We took that advice seriously and started bringing our son in weekly just to say hi. We also roleplayed haircuts at home and prepared him little by little. Every time we walked in, J was there and helped make the environment feel positive and welcoming for him. After about a month, we decided to try again. I needed a haircut too, and they recommended a father-son cut, which ended up being perfect.Not only was my son able to successfully get his haircut, but he was so patient and brave, and the final result was adorable. Our stylist was incredibly understanding and showed him each tool before using it, which made a huge difference.As new parents, everyday things can feel really challenging, so having this turn into such a positive experience was honestly a huge relief. Knowing we now have a place where our son can get a haircut and feel comfortable means a lot to us. The whole experience was exceptional, and we are extremely grateful to the Sharkey’s Tucson team.

10/10 experience. We showed up late (I thought I scheduled a later appointment) they were still able to squeeze us in & cut my son's hair. The barber was super accommodating and patient with my son. On top of the amazing service the haircut came out better than I could've imagined.

Tiff was so helpful and solution oriented providing our dense curly haired girls haircuts that are so much easier to maintain and beautiful! They felt like princesses with the adorning clips and glitter at the end! What a special place and knowledgeable stylist. The atmosphere is so magical and inviting for children. I wish there were places like this when I was a child! Great job!!

This place is amazing!! I took my nonverbal autistic 2 year old son here and the guy was amazing with him. He was extremely kind and patient with him. He even fit us in as a walk in. I did not know you were suppose to pre book appt. So that was greatly appreciated. I would rate 10 stars if i could. If you have special needs kids or any child hair cut and are looking for a safe place to get their hair cut these people were amazing and made us feel super welcomed.

I cannot say enough good things about Sharkey’s.m. We took our 2 year old for his first haircut today and it was such a smooth, fun experience (and I can’t say “smooth” about most things with your very busy and curious toddler). The facility is 100% kid and toddler friendly. The stuffed animal outside gained my son’s interest before we even entered them having the ability to sit in a fun car + pick out a show helped set a mood that eased any anxiety he may have been having. Sky cut his hair and it is such a great cut for his hair texture and face. I can’t believe she accomplished what she did considering his movements. She was incredibly patient and kind with him. 10/10 recommend for a first haircut experience. He hasn’t stopped talking about it. We will be returning the next time he needs a cut.
