I’ve been driving an hour to West Roxbury to see my chiropractor once a week and my husband and I recently discovered this great little restaurant, Bread Thyme.Gabi is the chef creating delectable Lebanese dishes. Everything is incredible, this is the epitome of fresh and clean food. I have never had Lebanese food before and Gabi loves to take the time to explain his dishes.We’ve been here a few times and I try to taste something new each time. Today I got a Caesar salad with Kafka on top, which was great, and my husband got the Chicken Shawarma wrap which he loves.We always get the bread, and today it was fresh out of the oven and still warm. I took a video of my husband breaking it open with the steam coming out, but we can’t put videos on Google reviews!Gabi’s wife, Joelle, makes these amazing gourmet chocolates. But what made this place special to me were the warm and welcoming husband and wife who own the place.They also have a well curated collection of Lebanese specialty items including Easter color Jordan almonds and a very authentic brand of pomegranate molasses and a fridge filled with homemade spreads to take home with their large, soft and puffy pita bread.They were very conscious of allergy issues and offered to make us a version of hummus without garlic if we call ahead at our next visit. Bread Thyme is an absolute gem! I dined here last night with two friends, and every bite was a delight. The soup was comforting, the chicken shawarma wrap was flavorful, and the baklava was the perfect sweet ending. The flatbreads were a standout—especially the half za’atar, half cheese combo, which was the best of both worlds. But the real star? The eggplant dip—so incredible we had to take two more home! Warm hospitality and delicious food will definitely bring us back; there is also a parking spot behind the building. My Boss and I came here for a lunch meeting yesterday, and we were blown away by the service. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was amazing. Stumbled across this family owned gem randomly while doing errands in West Roxbury. The food was excellent! Flavorful perfectly cooked kofta served with a nice salad, smooth hummus made with good quality olive oil. Moussaka was superb. Nice texture and favor balance. This is my new falafel place in West Rox! A cheap eats family run Lebanese restaurant with fresh veggies and great falafel and homemade hummus. I’ve gotten their falafel wrap and it’s great, with pickled beets and the usual stuff. Today I ate at the restaurant and had a tabouli plate with falafel and hummus. It’s so hitting the spot that I had to review it! I like the atmosphere in this cozy family restaurant. Everyone who takes your order knows the menu and can answer questions. The food didn’t take more than a few minutes to bring out and it’s as good as making it from scratch at home! Sometimes I’m disappointed by restaurant food but not here. So flavorful and delicious. We got the Zaatar flatbread, falafel plate, lentil soup, mouhamara, moussaka, and coffee. All very good, a lot of herbs, spices, and lemony flavors. The coffee is strong and tastes like it has cinnamon or something in it. Forgot to take photos before eating so took some closeups of the remaining falafel and flatbread. I didn’t realize that it was going to take me from Mississauga Ontario all the way to Boston MA to find the perfect Manousheh flatbread- but I finally found the best north American Lebanese restaurant and its Bread Thyme! From the dough of the flatbreads that remains soft and fresh for hours after it comes out, to the amazing flatbread topping flavors and even their Dubai Chocolate (which is better than the original) its all perfection. The ingredients in the Shawarma were incredibly fresh—almost like I had made it at home. The ambiance was also fantastic. The owner, who took my order, was so friendly and kind. I initially planned to eat at home but decided to stay and enjoy my meal at the restaurant. The owner promptly provided me with a plate and even offered me a complimentary coffee. Authentic. Organic. Clean. Fair prices. Zaatar was one of my favorite foods as a kid, but highly sensitive to gmo gluten and enriched wheat grown in the US sprayed with glyphosate, I haven't found bread that doesn't cause my body abdominal discomfort, digestive issues, brain fog, days of lethargy and mood swings. This is one of the few places I can trust. The bread here is made from organic whole ingredients they list out on their menus and has caused my body no issues. I am so happy to be able to eat bread again. All dishes are prepared with organic olive oil as far as I can tell, with exception to the deep frier, which I have not asked about. They don't cheap out. That means no government subsidized industrial seed oils that just about every other restaurant uses, destroying our metabolic health. I stopped in on my way home today. I tried the tabouli salad with chicken kabobs. Tabouli was delicious, and it was a good portion. The chicken was very well seasoned and so tender. I loved it! I also tried some thyme bread. Must heat up in the oven (not microwave). It was a good size, and had a hint of lemon (I am a very lemony girl!).
