Took my 2025 explorer ST to Chess and Perfection Wraps to get a full front ppf and to wrap the top of my car in a gloss black wrap. To be totally honest some things came up and some things had to get fixed. I will say Chess was all over it and he replaced and fixed everything to brand new. I had been hunting for a good PPF shop for months after another place completely butchered the front end of my car. The first shop I went to left lift lines everywhere, trapped debris under the film, and the edges were already peeling within a week. I was honestly traumatized by the whole experience and pretty hesitant to trust anyone again.A friend of mine recommended Chess and his team, so I drove over just to talk and get a feel for the place. Right away the experience was totally different. Chess actually came out, looked over my car panel by panel, explained exactly what went wrong with the previous install, and walked me through how they’d fix it. No pressure, no upselling, just straight clarity. That alone already made me feel like I was dealing with real professionals.I booked in for a full front PPF replacement, and they got me in faster than I expected. They showed me the film they use, explained the warranty, and even let me watch part of the prep process. You could instantly tell they weren’t rushing the attention to detail was crazy. They even removed the bad film from the other shop without damaging anything underneath.When I picked up the car, it honestly felt like I was seeing it brand new again. Zero bubbles, zero edges lifting, zero stretch marks. The alignment on every seam was perfect. The gloss was deeper than it ever was originally, and the hydrophobic top coat actually worked water just slid off like nothing. I couldn’t believe the difference compared to my last experience.What really sold me was the follow-up. They checked in a week later to make sure everything looked good, invited me to come back for a courtesy inspection, and even showed me how to properly maintain the film long-term. Most shops install your film, take your money, and you never hear from them again.
