My rescue dog, Willow, did the Board and Train with James. It was absolutely the best because she can now do recall and is much more obedient. She was most likely a stray and James helped build her confidence and her connection with other dogs. I would highly recommend both the business and James to help you with your doggie needs.

Our pup, Hank, just finished up his 3 week board and train with Kaleigh and we are very impressed with his progress. We knew he would be a handful but the magic Kaleigh worked is amazing! He has gone from being defiant and throwing a fit to get his way to responding to our commands and calming himself. He even willingly puts himself to place on a regular basis. The kids have had much more pleasant interactions with him and our walks are more enjoyable. Can’t say enough about the training and care Kaleigh provided!

We were over the moon with how our training went with Kaleigh! We started with individual lessons, and then decided to go with the 3 week board and train. We have had our sweet girl home for a short time and have already seen tremendous improvements in her behavior and most importantly, her leash skills. Kaleigh was attentive and always communicative with us during the board and train and answered all the crazy questions we had. We would recommend Kaleigh as a trainer over and over again. Our sweet Dowdy girl loves her and her family so much and we will always be thankful for this experience our sweet pup got!

We will use Cornerstone K9 again when we continue future training sessions for our pups. Their trainer, James, was and is a phenomenal teacher for both us and our dogs. James is a knowledgeable, hands-on trainer whose ability to connect with our canines individually and together as a unit helped tremendously in understanding our dogs’ actions and correcting their behaviors. If I could leave 10 stars I would!! Our 6 month old German shepherd did the board and train program with James, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. He is very professional, communicative, and passionate about the dogs in his program. Our puppy went in with reactivity, horrible leash walking, and just wasn’t able to settle down. Now he is almost a completely different dog and perfect in all of those aspects. James is the man!!

We did the full three week on/off leash training with Sandy. Our dog, Olive, was a great puppy before training but had some behaviors that needed correcting. Sandy kept us in the loop the entirety of Olive’s training and shared her progress. She also takes amazing photos! Olive is now home and is much more relaxed and responsive to commands. I highly recommend Sandy and the Cornerstone team for your dog training needs!

Honestly a really great experience with them. They are super flexible when it comes to to choosing the days and time to work with my dog Deno. They helped with every question or problem I was having with him and are even helping us get certified with AKC CHC test! 10/10 would recommend!!

They want you to leave good reviews on Google and promise to keep in touch, but they don’t. Unless you’re going to spend more money. $4,000 on one dog.. and when I asked about just home training on another dog and not boarding, the owners reached out with pricing and not the trainer.

Wanted to give two thumbs up to Cornerstone K9! Winston and Ellie came home Tuesday, and we are so excited! They have made great improvements over the past few weeks thanks to James. He is an awesome trainer! Loved our pups like his own, kept us informed, posted pics and videos along the way, and helped the entire family learn ways we can continue to work with our dogs at home. We had an amazing experience with our trainer, Sandy, and couldn’t be happier with the results. We brought both of our dogs — Smoky, our 1½-year-old Yorkie, and Carly, our 14-year-old Pomeranian — for a two week board-and-train at her home because we needed help addressing some aggression between them.From start to finish, she was professional, attentive, and incredibly communicative. She sent us frequent photo and video updates, which we really appreciated and which gave us peace of mind knowing our dogs were in great hands.Smoky, the younger and more energetic of the two, showed especially noticeable progress. He’s now much more attentive to commands, able to hold them longer, and overall more responsive than before. Even with Carly’s age and limitations, she handled their dynamic thoughtfully and effectively.Beyond the training itself, she gave us excellent guidance and practical tips on how to continue the training at home and help both dogs cohabitate calmly and safely moving forward. I had recently moved to NC with my dog Sadie a border collie mix who just turned 8. It took some time to find the right trainer for us but Cornerstone K9 and their trainer Karissa exceeded my expectations. Sadie is on the older side and I was worried that training might not be beneficial or have any change but the six sessions made a huge improvement and also made me more confident on our continued training after we completed our sessions and believe this has beneficial to Sadie’s training as well. Cornerstone K9 and Sandy were truly amazing. Pinto wasn’t just trained — he became part of the family. He was loved, spoiled, played with, taken on adventures, bike rides, snuggled, and showered with toys, treats, and care, all while receiving excellent training and detailed progress reports.Knowing my dog was happy and treated like family meant everything to me. My trainer was very attentive to Bella's needs as well as my concerns. Bella's behavior is so much better. I highly recommend Sandy for any issues you may have regarding your dogs behavior. We rescued a dog who had strong reactions to people and dogs. Walking him was always an event. After doing some research we choose Cornerstone K9 and we’re linked up with James. After some extensive online research, I have decided to go with Cornerstone K9 team to help me train one of my pups.I was then contact by Martin, who is specialized in training reactive dogs. He came out to my home to meet my dog. He took time to get to know her and to see which type of training would be best suited for our situation. We settled on a 4 week board and reactivity training. Throughout the 4 week training Martin was sending updates with pictures and videos. He stayed in constant contact to make sure I follow his training progress every step of the way. After the completion of the training program, Martin brought my pup back and took hours from his schedule to properly reintroduce her into the home, show all the commands, explain in detail how to handle my pup and how to continue with the training at home.I can’t believe how easy our walks are, now that I can walk my pup and not her dragging me through the streets of Raleigh, all while barking at and trying to chase every dog, bunny and squirrel. Thank you, Martin for marking our lives easier and our walks so much more enjoyable! Best training by far!

We sent our dog, Aspen, to Martin for a four week training program focused on obedience and reactivity/ desensitization, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We cannot say enough amazing things about Martin and the board-and-train program he did with our dog, Maverick. Before training, Maverick was extremely reactive toward other dogs especially on leash and at nearly 100 lbs, he would drag us anytime he saw another dog. He also struggled with reactivity around new people in our home and had a hard time trusting strangers.It has now been about two weeks since he came home, and the difference is incredible. We’ve had guests over, and Maverick chose to stay calm, neutral, and relaxed on his own. No major episodes, no tension, just a comfortable, confident dog. Walks are finally enjoyable again!Martin didn’t just train Maverick; he trained us. He gave us the tools, structure, and confidence to continue reinforcing everything at home so Maverick can keep succeeding.
