I would NOT recommend old mill ironworks. We paid a $4,800 deposit after being told it was refundable if we couldn't get the fence worked out with our neighbors and HOA. The project never started, NO CONTRACT was ever signed, and no materials were ordered.Communication was terrible--calls to owners, Glennis and Jeff went unanswered, texts required multiple follow-ups, and when we finally got responses, we found the attitude arrogant and condescending.When we requested our deposit back, they decided to keep $650 for their "time," despite us never agreeing to it. They also made a statement (we didn’t agree) that cashing the check meant we accepted their terms. And took 2 weeks to return it.If $650 in undisclosed charges is worth losing a customer and losing future business that speaks volumes.Get absolutely everything in writing before giving this company your money….They are not honest.In response to the owners response below:They stated that our deposit would be applied toward “actual costs and services incurred to date” and that the remainder would be refunded within 10 business days. However, no contract was ever signed, no materials were ordered, and no actual work was performed beyond taking measurements and providing a basic sketch/quote for less than 20 feet of fencing.Despite repeatedly asking, they would not tell us how much of our deposit they intended to keep or provide an explanation of the charges. We had never agreed that ANY portion of the deposit was nonrefundable or could be retained for these services.I ultimately had to drive to their bank to retrieve the refund check, and only then discovered they had decided to withhold $650. They included the same basic fence sketch which is unusable with the check.The lack of transparency and communication throughout this process was extremely disappointing. Keeping $650 from a deposit for a project that never moved forward, with no signed contract or agreed-upon fee for measurements and a sketch, is not how I would expect a professional company to treat a customer. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company..

The craftsmanship is exceptional! Every order is custom so patience is a must but the payoff was well worth the wait! Communication was very good and they stuck to their timeline. It went so well that I have them coming back out for more work!

Old Mill Iron quoted for me two sets of hand rails. One set for the steps in my garage and one set on the front door to my home. They did a great job. The installation was very quick and thorough. The lead time was estimated incorrectly at the time of quote but they communicated with me along the way to ensure I was aware and knew how things were progressing in the build stage. I would definitely buy from them again.
