I boarded my English Cream retriever at the Placerville Dog house in April 2025 when he was still a puppy. I chose Placerville dog house because it had good local reviews at that time. when i dropped Sterling off the property seemed very normal for rural el dorado county, like it was acreage that had belonged to a family for a long time. I saw the home and outside space Sterling would be boarded and it seemed comfortable. sterling was at placerville dog house for several days and nights. Jeremy sent me pictures of Sterling when i texted to check in on him. When I picked Sterling up, he had been bathed, which was nice of Jeremy because Sterling must have gotten dusty because that is the way bare dirt is in that part of placerville. Sterling had a good report card the boarding service and seemed in good spirits when i picked him up. I believe that Jeremy offers a quality boarding service and goes above and beyond to take care of his pet and human customers. I forgot to take Sterlings food when I initially picked him up and Jeremy let me drop by at a later time to pick it up. Thank you for a great experience placerville dog house!

Pretty yikes experience. Down a long driveway. No real way finding. Ended up at the place. It’s got a compound militia vibe. Jeremy was very nice but the place didn’t feel right. We left our dog for 2 nights. Came to check in and she was not happy. Kennels aren’t cleaned, poop isn’t picked up in the yard. Our pup smelled bad and her collar was off and seemingly cut multiple times by scissors. Just weird. Her harness wasn’t on right either. Our dog is a bit skittish so we get she is tough but a weirdly cut collar and general ill vibe is hard to justify. It just doesn’t feel there. Definitely don’t recommend for city folk I guess.

this is the formaly known as Alicia leash took my dogs there once and when I asked why my dog looked like she was sprayed with some kind of solution they said my dog wet ...once we were in the car I noticed my dog was covered in oil. Instead of telling me what and why they did that to my dog I found out ony own i even washed my dog / showered her and still got all over my car and carpet and bedding.

My Dog loves it there! He always gets picked up and refuses to get in the car..Owners always working and improving the property and pet areas in which i am always impressed over and over again..

I swear, my dog comes home acting like he just got back from summer camp, complete with new friends and a few secret stories he refuses to tell me.The vibe here isn’t cold and sterile like a typical kennel. It’s more like your pup gets a staycation at a doggie bed-and-breakfast — cozy, safe, and filled with love.Bottom line: if you want peace of mind knowing your dog is in the hands of someone who genuinely gets it, Jeremy is your guy. Just don’t be surprised if your dog doesn’t want to leave when you come to pick them up.
