Fitness Works has been great for implementing my New Year’s resolution, even if it was two months late! Will has cracked a code, even in a saturated market, with the key being knowing the balance of what the members want vs their needs. Having had a few crossover sessions with others, I can see all the clients get on very well with their respective trainers which helps massively when needing that extra bit of motivation.A place for the people, not just profit, as Will often asks for our feedback on ways to help make the gym better suited to everyone and implements the suggestions put forward.Training with Aaron has been unlike anything else I’ve had and I can really feel the results. I’ve progressed better than any other training I’ve done previously and his attention to detail really makes the difference. He explains exercises clearly and what the reason is for choosing them. However, I could not recommend this place more - for a small gym, it has everything you need without the superfluous nonsense (and people) at some of the larger gyms. All the trainers are knowledgeable and friendly, it’s clean and very well run!! A special shout out to my PT, George Hill - the guy is tremendous! Seeing great gains already and he’s been hugely motivating … and he’s got a great approach to balancing life with fitness (no guilt if you’ve been out for a pint or two). Training with Will and the Fitnessworks team is an investment in your health and wellbeing that you should commit to. Following a series of debilitating injuries, I was looking to regain confidence and movement without pain, with a stretch goal to rebuild a previously high level of fitness. We started 6-months of PT with clear goals, supplemented with small group classes (which are awesome!), and other modalities of fitness (running, cycling). Will is a conscientious, dedicated and diligent professional, who employs a strong academic background, with evidence-based training. He personalises everything to me, with a holistic approach with my other training and nutrition. He is open to dialogue and questions, to which he always responds with thoughtful and leading-edge thinking. This has led to a high level of trust between us. Our training progressed far better than we expected, but we stuck to the plan, and at the end of this period I have now performed two lifetime PBs. We're now switching up to focus on performance. You cannot fail to build muscles and have clothes that fit better, whilst having a great workout in a small weights class, with fantastic instructors. Recently completed the 8 week SGPT at FitnessWorks.Credit to Will, Scarlet, Anton and Liv (the amazing trainers) for the diversity of work outs day in day out. Super fun but also the right level of challenging. The trainers take care each session to explain the exercises and movements carefully, which as a beginner is very useful.Across the 8 weeks I have increased muscle mass and become so much stronger/fitter which was the main goal.The nutritional tracking and weekly comms were informative and a great addition to the programme. I went to the charity spin class last weekend. I had a great time - really good sweat during the workout, the music was great and the instructor pushed everyone to their level (this is coming from someone who's done spin once before and wasn't too keen!)... More
