Anchor Eats

Tonight was a cold and rainy night even though I have a dingy I did not feel like going out so I called Anchor Eats. I’ve known about them around the marina, but I’ve never used them until tonight. The question became —- Is it worth the cost to deliver just a single dinner? My considerations were —getting out in the rain on my dingy and getting to the dock then getting walking to my car and then driving to the restaurant and back. Then when getting back to the marina fighting to find a parking place (sometimes an hour circling for an available space). The parking issue was probably the major factors ——- once you leave your boat, you have to do all these things to get your food. So here was my question use Anchor Eats or Go without dinner because I had not provisioned the boat. So I thought I would give it Anchor Eats a try. Despite the rain and drizzle the cheerful Anchor Eats Dingy driver approached me on my morning-ball with not only the food, but a little extra something to eat that was unexpected as well as as an offer to take any trash for me. So I realize it is expensive if you’re only order a small amount as I did, but the net/net is If you have the time and you don’t have a parking issue to find at the end or you don’t want to take an Uber to and from the restaurant plus the Dingy ride, Anchor Eats is a reasonable solution. Thank you, Anchor Eats for allowing me to stay warm and dry and to not circle the parking lot for an hour looking for another parking place when I got back and you did all the effort. I wish you well in your business here because without you guys a real option goes away for us boaters. Thank you, Marty Tighe, aboard Summerwind. Jeanneau 50DS
