While I knew it would likely be a better fit than his assigned school, Lyons Creek, I had heard mixed things and was nervous about the transition.Five months later, I can confidently say I am so glad we made this decision.From the very first week, one thing stood out to us: every morning at drop-off, teachers and administrative staff are outside welcoming students with smiles. That energy sets the tone for the entire day. It may seem like a small thing, but as a parent, seeing adults genuinely happy to greet your child makes a huge difference.My son genuinely LOVES going to school. As a parent, that alone speaks volumes.What has made the biggest difference are the teachers and coaches. They go above and beyond in ways that I didn’t expect.Mr. Young, my son’s football coach, heard that he was having an issue in math. Without hesitation, he invited him into his classroom after school to help him work through it. That kind of care and mentorship goes far beyond athletics — it shows true investment in the whole child.His 6th grade English teacher, Ms. Clarke, is phenomenal. Writing has never been my son’s strongest area, yet she has him writing full poems and actually enjoying it. The growth in his confidence is incredible to see.Ms. Acebo, his science teacher, has completely sparked his curiosity. He comes home excited about science and wanting to try experiments. He even built a volcano on his own because he was so inspired. That level of engagement is something every parent hopes for.And the administration — especially Ms. Suarez — has been supportive, responsive, and genuinely caring. It truly feels like they want every student to succeed.My son has excelled not just academically, but in confidence, motivation, and overall happiness. That is because of the educators at SLAM Boca who show up every day and make a difference.I’m grateful we took the chance.

Administrators are amazing in every extent of the word. They care for your children as one of their own. I am excited about the brand new high school building being built within their land. I am confident the school year 2026-2027 will one to set the bar higher than ever for SLAM Boca 🙏🏼
