We had a fabulous brunch on Sunday at The George, just made it for last breakfast orders at 11.45. A nice walk with dogs through woods for a thirsty pint with brunch in the garden, which looks inviting. Thoroughly recommend for a Sunday treat!

Lovely pub/restaurant. We live in the next village but we always walk here once a week to have a drink and some food. Excellent food with a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Under new management: the food is amazing and cooked from scratch. Service is attentive. If you have a fussy palate and like freshly cooked meals , it is definitely worth a visit.

Booked a birthday meal for my Parents, the food was probably the best we've had eating out .So much attention to detail, all the dishes had a little something special about them , the staff were welcoming and attentive. The night was made perfect by a surprise birthday desert brought from the kitchen to mum totally out of the blue . 5 star dining .

We stopped here on a cycle to Whitstable. There is a lack of / nearly no bike parking.Apart from that, we found the setting inside the pub to be charming and pretty. The staff were incredibly friendly and ultimately welcoming despite our untraditional arrival and cycling attire.The food was delicious. I particularly liked the Wild Garlic soup.The other patrons were friendly too.Another minor gripe might be that they charged extra for milk with tea, which seems unnecessary. But on the whole the experience was worth paying for in my opinion.

Five women after walking stopped for lunch here. Lovely log fires so cosy. Great atmosphere. We ordered 5 different lunch’s from the main menu & lunch menu all were presented Beautifully and tasted Delicious. Staff are welcoming and attentive. Chef your food was amazing thank you.

A lovely Pub oozing with character and charm. Cosy wood burning fire which you seldom see in pubs anymore? We had chips with two different cheese which was excellent the best I've ever eaten ... well done the George. The owners were friendly professional and the Menu really looks interesting.. we will be eating with them again very soon.

Loved it, fantastic food. They're new and there were a few areas to improve. Gave us a menu for food that wasn't available at the time we were there and there were people noisy setting up a fête in the pub whilst we were trying to enjoy our meal. This pub is very much worth a try tho, the food is brilliant.

Unbelievable evening tonight at the fireworks display, one of the best we have been to for a very long time, the timing of it all was on point, super well organised. Staff had a huge workload to deal with and dealt with it all very efficiently with a welcoming smile, what an absolute pleasure it all was & the hotdogs were so good I had two. Look forward to the next one and everything inbetween.

Dropped in by chance and were immediately made welcome by Rob and Jules. The food was superb. The best fish and chips we can remember and the crumble for afters was delicious. After a couple of hours spent in this delightful pub, we departed with a cheerie farewell and the certain intention of returning.
