We bring our 3 year old boy and 5 year old girl to the Monday/Wednesday classes from 4:45-5:15 and 5:15-6:00pm and they love it. Small classes that mix in drills with lots of games/activities. Patrick is super kind and patient with the kids, and it is fun to see the kids get more comfortable with the physicality and teamwork. It has the exact environment (loving, safe, encouraging, challenging, family friendly) I want our kids to get exposed to jiu jitsu. Our kids also love staying late to the bigger kids roll in the class after ours, which is fun to see. Looking forward to many months/years of jiu jitsu ahead!

Patrick has been an awesome coach for our kids. We weren't sure if they will enjoy grappling but the care and patience with which Patrick works with kids is awesome. He is super friendly with kids but at the same time makes sure that they are constantly learning and progressing. I would highly recommend his classes especially for those who aren't sure and want to try out grappling for themselves/kids.

Patrick is a legit high level Black belt grappler and teacher. Systems matter and his translates across on all styles. My son and I take privates with a gap in levels. The progress I have seen in such a short time is impressive. He is also always willing to get live rolls in and put in work with you to improve your progress. Highly recommend Patrick if serious about improving ground game.

Patrick is an excellent and knowledgeable coach. He creates a learning atmosphere in which the kids want to give their best while also making them comfortable and able to progress at their individual levels and abilities. There's never a down moment during his classes - they are moving and learning the whole time - and leave with new skills and having had a real workout.

My two kids are currently enrolled in the beginners' class. And I have to say that I am impressed with Patrick (instructor) for the wonderful classes he offers for kids. My kids love the lessons and surprisingly look forward to go to each class. Patrick is attentive, kind, and respectful in his guidance. He makes sure everyone feels both supported and challenged. His professionalism shines through in his lessons, from his explanations of techniques to the encouraging feedback he provides. Had a first class experience here at Patrick’s grappling classes as I was able to observe him teaching young people basic wrestling techniques in a safe environment. Patrick really knows his stuff and is an expert in MMA. The training center is clean, spacious and the classes kept the students engaged throughout the hour. It was great to see the kids having a great time and enjoying learning MMA friendly techniques as well as life skills that they can apply. Would highly recommend Patrick and the environment that he has cultivated with youth and families.

Patrick is an incredible, thorough, patient teacher. I’ve gotten to learn alongside my two sons (ages 8 & 10) and we all enjoy our time and leave having learned something every week. I’ve been training at In the Fight Grappling since August, after transitioning from Fitness Quest MMA, and the experience has been transformative. What stands out most is Pat’s incredible teaching style—he’s patient and focuses on the concepts of BJJ, allowing me to figure out the specifics on my own, which has really deepened my understanding of the art.
