I'm only on week 4 of care here for some very complex neurological/medical problems. I have already had a few seizures and some intense muscle stiffness and spasm episodes in office. All 3 of the doctors here are amazing, but Dr. Eliana (not sure on spelling) specifically is just wonderful. She has been with me during every episode I have had there. She makes me feel safe and stay encouraged. I started to have a bad episode in office today while she was adjusting me. I am NEVER able to stop any kind of severe episode without rescue meds. She continued to do what she was doing to my head/neck (maybe changing things up a bit, not sure. My head was obviously foggy). within minutes, she was able to bring my nervous system back down and stop the episode completely. My heart rate shot up, my vision was tunelling, my head got fuzzy, I started shaking vigorously, pain signals were going crazy, and my muscles started tightening. Then before I knew it, my body started regulating again on it's own, because of what she did. I was so shocked I couldn't even process what happened until now, hours later. My nervous system has never been able to stabilizing once an episode of any kind starts without rescue meds, until today. I thank God for bringing me to this place and to these amazing people. I finally feel true hope my body can heal after 5 years of devastation and immense pain. it may take years and be very slow progress, but I didn't even think I'd live to turn 30 this year and I did! I can't even imagine a life without this pain and all the limitations I have. But this place has given me a glimmer of hope that doesn't feel so impossible anymore. 😭

I went to Arbor Vitae suffering with tremendous pain from hip bursitis. I couldn't sleep at night because the pain was so intense. I went to a doctor who gave me a steroid shot into the bursa - no benefit. The doctor prescribed physical therapy - no benefit. I was getting desperate.
