We had a great experience with Portia, she helped us with our second child after we were super traumatized with our first during the early postpartum period and wanted more support to get through the first few weeks of having a newborn plus toddler. She was calm, reassuring, and has such a great gentle and humble personality. She gave good tips, but was not pushy. Having a postpartum Doula is wonderful and we wish we had known about this service with our first. Just having someone to help cover the nights to transition for the first few weeks was great and built up our confidence and allowed my wife time to recover. We were a little bit nervous at first, but after the first night, we were very reassured that our baby was in great hands and we all slept very well every time she came over! Highly recommend!

Portia helped me as a postpartum doula when our daughter was born. Not only did I look forward to the help when she would visit, but she had such a calming presence. Portia was always on time and she made me feel valued as mom. It was so much more than 15 minutes to myself to shower. Portia always seemed to have a sense for what I needed each particular day. Portia’s visits were critical to balancing the overstimulation I was experiencing postpartum and I highly recommend her to other families!

I had an amazing experience with Portia! When I desperately needed help with my newborn, Portia stepped in and made our life so much better. She was not only professional and knowledgeable at newborn care but also extremely caring and supportive of me as a new mom. She helped me with my breastfeeding journey and was always so encouraging. Because she's so observant and attentive to our baby, his silent reflux quickly caught her attention. He was able to get medical treatment timely because of her. We extended our services twice because she's so good. We totally trust her with our baby. I can't recommend her enough to other families, especially new moms who need someone supportive postpartum!

Doula’s Due was the most valuable resource I invested in to take care of myself postpartum. Portia was with us for 6weeks after my baby was born for mostly overnight visits. I thought it would be odd having someone I wasn’t familiar with care for me and my baby but Portia made me feel comfortable and confident. It was a relieve to know there was someone other than myself of my spouse available to take baby for night feedings, encouraged me to breastfeed or pump, and knew what a success latch should looked and felt like. If I were to have another baby I would want Portia rig it back at my side.

My husband and I worked with Portia very early on in our newborn's life. As first-time parents with no family nearby, we were desperate for help, particularly at night. Portia came in confident and compassionate and taught us so much in those early days. She was the first to clip our son's nails because I was just too scared. She taught me how to bathe my son and swaddle him. She very quickly bonded with us and our son and was so patient with our questions and concerns. The first time my husband and I traveled away from our son, we hired Portia knowing he'd be in great care while we were away for 2 nights. Two years later, I think back on that time and I'm so grateful we found Portia.
