Dakota is an excellent teacher. The techniques he uses while teaching really help what I am learning to stick and carry over into my guitar playing. He creates a fun and confidence orientated atmosphere for me. My guitar playing skills have increased more in the 8 months that I have been learning from Dakota than they have in the last 6 years trying to self learn through YouTube and like platforms. I have been playing guitar for 42 years and in the last 8 months have really excelled and enjoyed it profusely. I would recommend Wisconsin Rock Guitar Academy to anyone looking to further their knowledge of guitar theory, playing, and just having fun.

I was a self taught guitar player for the first 6 years, but I found a plateau I couldn’t overcome. I began lessons over a year ago and my progress was more than I could’ve imagined. Taking lessons with Dakota allowed me to play along to my favorite songs and solos!

Dakota promises band performances and then kicks you out last minute telling you not to show up. He doesn’t give you the money back that you paid to perform with the band just expects you to be okay with it. Dakota takes advantage of older people for their disabilities and treats them unfairly.

My daughter started here a month ago, and she loves it! Dakota's classes are welcoming to all levels, and the students are all fantastic. My daughter is usually a very introverted person, and reluctant to try new things, but she jumped right in here and is already learning really good guitar skills. Dakota has students chasing their goals from day one, and my daughter has been playing songs since her first week of classes, not just notes, but recognizable songs. Absolutely great place for enthusiastic music learning!

Dakota is excellent at what he does. His teaching technique is unique. You learn a variety of skills as a beginner, of which I am. He makes learning fun, yet challenging. You don't feel inferior to those who have been playing for years, as there is a variety of students at different levels in the different courses offered, and Dakota treats everyone as equals. It is well worth the investment of your time and money if you want to learn how to play the guitar correctly and quickly.

Dakota is a good teacher who is able to zero in on technique flaws that are preventing you from accomplishment. He provides common sense techniques that minimize frustration when things don't come quickly. He works well with all age groups, as I am his second oldest student at the age of 69.
