Bringing my dog to The K9PT was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made and I’m beyond grateful for all they have done for my Cubbie Bear!  About 4 years ago, Cubbie Bear was diagnosed with a CCL injury and bilateral MPL but since he was already 13 years old at the time, I didn’t want to put him through a big surgery without trying other options first.  I decided to check out The K9PT to see if rehabilitation and therapy could help and within months of coming here, Cubbie Bear was back to not just walking, but running around as if he were still a little puppy!  Since then, appointments at The K9PT have become one of the things that Cubbie Bear looks forward to most each month since he absolutely loves the therapists, staff, exercises…and treats 😋 I can go on and on about how amazing the people who work here are – Dr. Alexander Vecellone treats Cubbie Bear as his own, Dr. Kristin Massey attended Cubbie Bear’s Sweet Sixteen, Megan helped my sister rescue a dog, Alex frequently checks in on the family dogs, Lexi hypes Cubbie Bear up each time with all the fashion compliments, and the list goes on! There aren’t enough positive words in the world to describe the team here. From the very beginning, every interaction has been stellar, and the entire team exudes such care and consideration in everything they do.We first started going to them for our 12 year old dog about a year ago. He was struggling with his mobility due to hip dysplasia and muscle loss in his rear legs. I’m so glad that my vet recommended The K9PT for his physical therapy. He gets to be doted on and spoiled by Dr. Maddie during his sessions, and loves to do his exercises! Now at 13, his strength, balance, and stamina have all improved. While it won’t be realistic to restore his mobility fully to its former glory, The K9PT has helped my guy keep his gusto and independence for as long as possible. When my dog’s mobility started declining due to IVDD, I was a mess. Like many pet parents, my dog is part of the family and seeing him suffer and not feel like himself was painful for us humans. After my primary veterinarian recommended physical therapy, I did some research and came across the K9PT. The front desk staff made the referral and insurance approval process a breeze and after our first session, I felt like I could finally breathe a sigh of relief. A few sessions in, and not only was the K9PT my dog’s new happy place (which is saying something because he is a temperamental/sensitive dude), but it was mine as well. The staff are kind and supportive and create an atmosphere of calm fun for all involved. My dog doesn’t know many tricks, but he happily attempts all the exercises Dr Alexander leads him through because he feels safe here and rewarded for making incremental progress through his program. A year later, and my dog is active again like he used to be with minimal flare-ups due to his IVDD. I will be forever grateful to the staff at K9PT for bringing my playful, happy Ricky back! Highly recommend the K9PT. We worked with Dr. Alex and he was so kind, gentle and really helped our senior tripod get some good exercise in. They have you sit in every session and teach you the exercises so you can maintain at home too. Alex at the front desk is so sweet and Bruiser loved coming in to see them every few weeks. They would do photo shoot set ups for holidays too (attached) which was a super cute touch. We love K9PT! Less
