Incredibly disappointed. When the estimator came out and told me that they could fertilize two trees on my property, I was told that it was a deep fertilization where they pump the fertilization into the root system. They gave me a quote for that task and I went ahead and booked.They showed up at my home and thankfully my husband was home and they informed him that the pump equipment wasn’t working. So they decided that they would just spread the fertilizer on the ground around the trees. However, I was still charged the full price as if they had pumped the fertilizer into the ground. I never would’ve paid that kind of money to have someone spread fertilizer on top of the ground above the trees. I could’ve done that in 10 minutes myself and a fraction of the cost. They never told me ahead of time that their equipment wasn’t working. If my husband had not been home, they would have just gone on their merry way and never informed anyone the pump wasn’t working and would’ve got away with not being honest. They did not reduce the price of the service, even though their equipment was not functioning.This was incredibly dishonest and really upsetting. I paid them almost $2000 to prune a few trees three weeks ago. I would’ve expected at least some honesty and have them let me know that their equipment wasn’t working. I would have canceled the appointment and rescheduled when the equipment was working. I am OK with them charging me for the product and for the 10 minutes it took them to spread the product. But to charge me the same as if the equipment was functional. That’s unacceptable. Mistakes happen, but dishonesty is a choice. I will never support a business that works off dishonesty. Less

Finally, a neighbor told us about Clean Cuts, a Utah-based company that had sent a crew and a large crane to Oregon in the wake of the devastating storm. We connected with them immediately, and, two days later, the tree was lifted off of our house. The removal also lifted a big mental weight and enabled us to begin the recovery process. I thought I would have a big ugly hole where the dead spot was but somehow they were able to trim and cut branches in such a way that the tree actually looks happier and healthier and the hole where the dead spot was is not bad at all! To start off with we have been on a list from another tree cutting business since August of 2020 trying to get them to come out to just give us a quote to trim/remove out tree. Calling Clean Cuts Trees not only did they come out the next day to give us a bid to get the job done, they were able to complete the job the day after they gave the quote. They were really helpful and very responsive with the questions I had and they also had very competitive pricing. The tree was MASSIVE, pictures included, and they were able to get it all done without any damage to our house or my neighbors house. They were able to work around the power lines in our backyard that went through the branches. They will be back in the spring when the ground is more firm to remove the stump. Overall we are extremely pleased with the job that Clean Cuts Trees performed. I'm glad they even had fun on our swing before they cut it down. They had a guy out to my house within a day to get the quote. Third, they were by far the best price and I liked how they had everything spilled out in a contract. They finished their work in a very timely manner. We had a MASSIVE tree (seriously, massive. They had to get the biggest crane they could, and it barely reached the top of the tree), and it was gone and cleaned up within 3 days. I was quite impressed. I am a little OCD, and I have 0 complaints about the cleaning up. Fourth, they seem like legitimately nice people. I was always able to get a hold of them, and if not, they would call me back within 2 hours. They were all very friendly and very easy to work with. I have never done a review online (which I probably should to support the good companies more), but I definitely felt like I needed to review this company. It was such a pain going through all of those other companies trying to get quotes, getting a hold of them, and when they did come out they were all in such a hurry to leave (Clean Cuts and 1 other company were the only ones that took the time to talk with me and answer my questions).
