I’d like to acknowledge the patient and tireless efforts of your associates Ashly Hodges & Kelvin Lao working with my sister Joyce and I on behalf of our deceased brother, Joseph Louis Gill. During the month of January 2026 I watched each of them prepare and complete meticulous documents required forJoseph’s funeral and burial. They were each genuinely compassionate, caring—having our ultimate interests and satisfaction as their sole agendas. Joe’s final resting place was a carefully inspired spot of ground chosen by Kelvin, himself. He made the extra effort to find a place in close proximity to my Mom and Dad’s resting place. Ashly was no less diligent as she helped us finalize a wonderful tribute, in print, to Joseph. It would be too time consuming to outline every detail of our experience at Cypress Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Services. For me just to say it was an amazing experience(and it was!), would not be nearly enough. The Love, Comfort and Peace that I felt then in Colma, South San Francisco, still lingers on and swells my heart today.Paul G. For some reason, fate led me to Eddie, who is a funeral director at this establishment. My very 1st visit, my father went to heaven the same morning, and i just put on whatever clothes laying around. I did not care one bit about my overall presentation for that day. When I met Eddie in the private room, he could've not taken me seriously, and judged me by the way I looked. But instead, he still treated me with respect and was very caring to see how he could assist me with my father's paperwork.The entire process from start to end, Eddie was very attentive, patient, open hearted, and he was very expertise at his job. We both shared how we each grew up, and now I understand what shaped him to pursue this career. You won't find another individual who turned his pain and suffering into strength like Eddie. We both share the same path to our careers. Thank you Eddie for taking care of my father.

Cypress Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial helped us put a beautiful memorial service together for my mother. During such a difficult time, they were very helpful in what we needed to do. I was certainly confused about the cremation services, but they helped us with that as well, since we opted for that instead of a burial. They also let me know I’d need to carry a special box through the airport since I was flying out of the country. If they wouldn’t have told me the information I needed for traveling , I would have been stuck at the airport during this extremely difficult time. We also used Cypress lawn for my grandparents years ago as well. They were very informative and helpful. I would recommend their services to anyone dealing with a loss.

My brothers and I had the difficult task of planning our mother's funeral. The staff at Cypress Funeral Home, specifically Thomas, was very professional and compassionate. He was very helpful and understanding of our requests. He handled all the details from the viewing, arrangements with the priests and music for the mass, to the police escorts. Every detail was taken care of. Also, the staff during the viewing/reception was extremely helpful ushering the guests to/from the reception area to the chapel. I couldn't be happier with how everything went so smoothly. It was a beautiful service. Thank you so much.

I think the way the service came out was wonderful. Everything was well put together.The communication after my father passed and buried was horrible. I was promised by Carlo that the death certificate would be shared between my sister and I. It was in the prepping stage but the final was never sent to me.Then, when I asked for a copy of the death certificate 4 months later, Lilly informed me copies of the death certificate can be obtained with the county; which was fine.HOWEVER, why promise something on email then wait for 4 whole months to tell me it can't be done. If the collective idea is to deliver excellent customer service, that is delivering on what is stated to both my sister and I equally on email; not changing the conversation after my Dad's services because it's been paid for and communicating only with the person that paid for it. In my opinion, Carlo should have asked my Mom what she wants to do. When I had her on the phone yesterday, she mentioned he never asked and to speak with Arlene.Seemed that Anita and Carlo were more engaged with my sister since she paid the service.When my Mom wanted to visit my Dad's grave site, it wasn't properly marked as promised. When I asked Anita where my Dad's plot was, she had no clue where it was. Took them a couple days to circle back with Arlene to get the concise location of the grave site. Not to be funny but I asked my Mom geez, my sister paid 50K for a service and they can't even find the grave site; even with someone escorting me to the plot.Overall, I think the services were excellent and the customer care with Arlene has and continues to be amazing. I just hope the communication lines of some of the staff falls in line with their manager so that families don't have to deal with unnecessary added drama to a very difficult and sad time.
