I’m writing on behalf of my wife and my experience of seeing my wife go through something she feared. My wife had only seen Rachel 2 times, she was recommended by 2 coworkers that always went to Rachel. The first time everything came out perfect, nothing wrong everything was as expected and more. She loved her hair. The second time she went to Rachel, she reminded her that her hair needed to be perfect because that weekend was our wedding day. After 5 hours she came out and everything looked fine. The color was exactly want she wanted and it get soft to the touch. But only a few days later is when we saw the truth. Rachel recommend my wife to use a new shampoo that would “help” with the color and health of the hair. Well that was a lie. My wife’s hair looked and felt like a bird’s nest. Her hair was so dry, no amount of conditioner or cream could make it smooth again. The color washed out as well. On our wedding day the hair stylist that was doing my wife’s hair strongly suggested not to put heat on her hair. The stylist said her hair is burnt so she couldn’t do the hair style she wanted, instead it had to be pinned up with over 150 pins just to make it look presentable. My wife cried so much because she told Rachel that she has a fear of anyone dying her hair because she had a bad experience years prior. Now a whole year later and after spending $800 for treatments my wife’s hair is almost back to what it use to be. When I contacted Rachel to let her know how my wife hair turned out after the wedding all she could say is she was sorry but she can’t refunded anything back. Mind you we spent over $400 that day, and Rachel said that she could do free treatments and hair cuts for a whole year. My wife said absolutely NO. She won’t ever trust Rachel again so what was the point of seeing her for free. We were so upset with how Rachel decided to handle this situation that we were close to filing a small claim suit but decided against it because it was more of a hassle to deal with. The only thing I can say and this is coming from other people we have overheard, if you want blonde hair, she is the perfect person to go to. Any other color please make sure she does a test on your hair before she starts to do anything. Till this day we strongly believe she should of done a test on her hair before doing anything especially with knowing it was our wedding that weekend. She ruined the whole experience for my wife. She felt ugly for the first time in a long time. And that is completely unacceptable. Never again. So since we didn’t file a claim I thought it would be better to leave this review in case anyone wanted to know the real truth. Less
