I have neuropathy in both feet. While my wife and I were in for a chiropractic adjustment my wife inquired about a machine in the corner of the treatment room. Dr. Soran explained that the machine in question was used for neuropathic pain relief. He explained other uses for the machine; however, my brain was stuck on "Neuropathy pain relief" while Dr. Soran continued to explain the uses to my wife I began to formulate how this might bring me some relief for my feet. After listening for a few more minutes I began asking question about the treatment process. The treatment is with a cold laser. This process is known as Photobiomodulation. (For more information, Google "Photobiomodulation", there is a wealth of information on the web that you can view) So, long story short, I was in so much pain at night because I couldn't stand to have the sheets touching my feet. More often than not I would wear socks to bed for relief in order to get to sleep. Sleep was short lived as the pain would intensify while I was asleep and eventually I was wide awake. At times I would get out of bed, go watch TV until I couldn't keep my eyes open, then back to bed, sometimes as early as 4:30 or 5:00 AM. However after a short discussion with Dr. Soran j choose to give the laser treatment a try. After the first treatment I surprisingly felt for the first time in years my feet were relatively pain free. From my toes up to about mid calf there was a tingling sensation that lasted about 30 minutes all the while my feet began to feel more normal. So far I've had 7 treatments and my feet feel better all the time. And oh, by the way, I no longer wear socks to bed.
