The dance instructors are incredibly passionate—not only about dancing itself but also about teaching it. Hunter and Romina possess excellent communication skills and remarkable patience, which has helped us as students learn shines and partner work more effectively. They go beyond just teaching steps; they also educate us on dance techniques and what to expect in different dance settings, such as social dancing at clubs, outdoor events, and classroom environments. I really enjoyed the Salsa With Hunter Beginner cycle ❤️ You could tell that Hunter cares for his students. It is clear Hunter prepares the content of the class ahead of time. Hunter explained the origins of salsa dancing, the different types of salsa, and the breakdown of instruments. The way he broke down how to execute the steps together with the contagious groove and welcoming energy 🙌💕 from him and dance partner instructor Romina made the class practical and fun. I also appreciated that he gave us what to focus on if we were struggling. He was always giving us a chance to ask questions and played songs at the appropriate pace for us to really “digest” the moves. Lastly, it was great that Hunter and Romina joined in the partnerwork drills so we could understand what it feels like to be led/followed by an advanced-level dancer. Hunter is the best! I met him at a salsa workshop he taught in 2017 when I was curious about participating in salsa competitions as a beginner. I started taking lessons with Hunter and he introduced me to everything I needed to know - how to master the basics, the importance of timing & musicality, how to stay connected with your partner, how to create body movement, and among many other skills, how to enjoy the process, which we all know can be tough when we need to improve!
