Years ago, my husband and I had Kelly at our house for 3 months while she did her OT internship. At the same time I had abdominal surgery. I was napping on the couch and when I woke up and tried to get up I couldn’t. Kelly came to the rescue and taught me how to position my body in a way I could get up and with a lot less pain. Through the years we have watched Kelly grow and use her mind, experience, science and passion to help patients live their best lives. Kelly was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with my Mom after she had a stroke. As Mom’s walking improved, she was ready to move from a walker to a cane, but had no idea how to use it - which hand and timing with her steps. Kelly helped Mom figure out the cane and how to use it safely. Her instructions and guidance were much appreciated! We shared the instructions with her caregivers so they knew how to help Mom also.
