I have tried exercising to stay in shape many many times through my life. It was always the same story, the lack of results would lead to diminished motivation and I would quit. Every now and again I would meet people that would say that exercise was addictive. I didn’t believe any of them as I could not imagine someone would become upset because they had not worked out. This was until about a year ago. My obesity doctor had recommend Shaun as someone competent and knowledgeable.Shaun has an awesome exercising program that focuses on building core strength as well as on creating exercises that will not only focus on typical muscles but as well as on muscles you didn’t even know existed. This leads to a dramatic increase in strength, endurance, and balance. I am 44 and I have never been in as much shape as I am now. I have never enjoyed working out as much as I do now. Interestingly, exercise is no longer geared towards looks, but it is really to make me feel better, more energetic, stronger, with better mobility and balance. Even with a newborn, I do everything to not miss a session. My wife will even say that I get upset if something happens that prevents me from going to the gym. It took my wife’s persistence for the previous 7 years before “I found time to exercise”. Needless to say that exercising has improved my quality of life. I can’t emphasize enough how important Shaun and JJ have been in my journey to get into shape. I am confident that I would not have ever gotten these results if it weren’t for them. I am always eager to find out what kind of “crazy clever” exercise Shaun has come up with for the next class. These are small group sessions that are just like one on one training. They are constantly correcting your form and explaining which muscles you are targeting and why. I could not be happier and more grateful. Not only Shaun is very competent, you can tell he clearly loves what he does and wants to make sure you get the most out of each workout. Last Thursday I ended up working until midnight and doing paperwork until 4 am. My session was 5:30a and I just could not wake up. I was pretty bummed that I had missed my workout. I was really happy to get an email from Shaun saying that they had missed me on Thursday and that he had 2 spots on Saturday, which I took promptly. The two amazing things in this story are: 1) Shaun’s commitment to my well-being 2) my desire to not miss a work out because I truly enjoy them (most people that know me would find Beth hard to believe that I would have ever become an exercise fan). Shaun and JJ thank you for all you have done for me! I truly appreciate it - more than you will ever know.
