Overall it was a good experience with just a few points of comment. The design of the website exhibits several dark design patterns (including automatically adding an audio book to your cart) and you are unable to view the schedule of availability for upcoming classes without paying for the course first. The course itself is fine and consists of the two you watch during the registration process and is broken down to 24 to review in a course library. They also provide a few other free videos in the library as well surrounding gun ownership and specific laws. The range day experience was fine, you are given an overview of how to handle the firearm (22 pistol), safety brief, and expectations. The instructors answered any questions you had and were pleasant to interact with. At the end of the shooting evaluation portion, you are presented with the option to purchase registration assistance ($20, google doc with thorough steps and tips, a verbal walk through, and digital passport photo) as well as for an optional follow up training with the instructors ($97 1 hr range time and includes registration assistance). I don't really enjoy sales tactics like this and my expectations coming into the class is that I would be provided guidance with my application as part of the course. I would not mind paying a little more and having this portion included but I can understand the initial pricing as $75 seems the industry standard. That all being said if you want an expedited CWP experience this is the correct course, the online videos remove the 3 hour in class training that is typical, and the range day was only an hour long. Additionally, the tips provided as part of the registration process will help you expedite your application especially if you had not idea where to start, and I was able to submit mine the same day as the range experience. Realistically this is an $100 CWP course ($79 course + $20 assistance) which is a fine value and the instructors are very helpful so I would still recommend it. Unrelated to the course but the full cost of applications was $100 for the course, $25 for fingerprints, $27 for background check, and $56.38 for the permit app for a grand total of ~$200. Less

After arriving, both gents were quite welcoming and encouraging. What stands out about my experience is that their goal is clearly to help the student progress and to educate, not judge any naiveties or shortcomings you may have (i.e. the typical gun store experience). I received a ton of helpful feedback and pointers which helped me get the best one-mag grouping I’ve ever had in a range session. After the range test was over I took advantage of their application assistance which was well worth the tiny extra fee and alleviated trying to keep track of both the minutiae and order of operations regarding the CCW application process.
