Mas renovations, did a beautiful job in our basement spa. They put in a steam shower and sauna. Pleased with the work they did, and the time taken to make this dream a reality.I surveyed a handful of other contractors and after visiting their shop and talking to Alex I could tell that these guys would be great to work with. In Mar 2024, we decided to finish our basement (~1400 sq/ft) and remove the wall between the kitchen and family room on the main floor. I received 5 quotes for the 2 projects with a $50k difference between the low and high quotes. We decided to hire Alex and his team at MAS Renovation as they understood our requirements, provided a detail plan, and cost proposal. The MAS team and sub-contractors were skilled, timely in completing their tasks and took all measures to protect our home. Maria, the PM was knowledgeable, and we met daily for status report and to address any issues or changes in the plan. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the finished job. It was our first time to renovate inside our house. We look at 4 different companies before deciding on MAS Renovations. We contracted MAS Renovation to redo our basement, focusing on building an improved laundry area, and creating a more accessible layout all around (more storage, etc.) We were very pleased with the professionalism of the workers, and with the project management. Maria and Alex were always quick to reply to our questions, and they provided expert advice to help us achieve what we were looking for - we had a few contractors in prior to hiring MAS, but MAS were the only ones to listen to our needs and provide options that worked. MAS Renovation did my "Wet Room" bathroom renovation in January. The contract started on time and was finished close to the original estimate, with some understandable delay for additional work because of the unknowns and complications of working in a very old house. MAS's responsiveness to questions, and issues for management was very good. Trades on site were polite and efficient, though some had limited English. Like most renovations in old buildings, the project was not without a few hiccups and problems along the way, but Alex and team discussed them with me and worked them to resolution. My finished bathroom is beautiful. I recommend MAS Renovation to anyone planning work in an old house. Less
