If you have never experienced an immersive sound bath, I highly, highly, highly recommend giving it a try! I’ve never practiced meditation. Today, my neighbor friends and I went for an experience lead by Alexander and man, it moved me! It was undoubtably the most enjoyment I have had in an afternoon in years. I released trauma and anxiety, experienced healing, felt restoration and rejuvenated and felt cleansed by the the fruits of the spirit. I went in to the experience carrying such heavy stress and so much noise in my body, mind and spirit. This sound healing experience was exceptional. The much needed time to reflect on the energy in the room fulfilled an emptiness I’ve awaited. I’ve previously attended single instrument sound events however this topped every past sound experience. I especially loved the sounds of the instruments bouncing and echoing off each others call. I didn’t know what to expect at the first event, as I’d never attended anything of the sort. However, I was excited about the idea of it. I love to feel my music so it seemed right up my alley. The atmosphere was so comfortable. We started with some stretches which I think really helped open me up to be able to relax as much as I did. I relaxed to the point of feeling like I was floating. I think I dozed off for a bit, but really not sure because the sounds put me in a state I’d never felt before and when I opened my eyes, I was seeing colors that I don’t think were actually there. It was surrealist…like riding though the tunnel in Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory 😂 That was an event in December ‘22. Immediately after that I signed up for a larger event that’s happening later this month, Jan ‘23, but since I didn’t want to wait that long, I also went to another one last night 🥰 I have been searching for ways to dig deeper into myself so that I can be my authentic self, and this added another aspect to my journey.
