If you're looking for a supportive community who is like minded and wants to play with clay you've come to the right place. Maek friends has been an awesome time settling back into a creative outlet and everyone is so helpful. Thank you to the entire team!!

What a wonderful community of creative people! I joined MAEK a few months ago and am stoked to have found a studio that offers educational courses, all the supplies and equipment you need as well as key access after a certain amount of hours. I’ve very much appreciated the staffed hours that gives us access to guidance and education on whatever you’re working on at the moment. It’s nice to get in that free flow state of creativity but also have someone around to answer your questions or guide you when you get stumped or are trying something new.I highly recommend this studio to anyone who is new or experienced. The community is wonderful and the studio is great.

Love this studio! The atmosphere at Maek Friends is warm, creative, and welcoming. By far the best pottery studio in town. Great equipment, a supportive community of makers, and just an all-around joy to spend time in. Even if you’re not in OB, I come in from North Park and it’s always worth the drive!

Such an amazing community! I started with zero experience and now feel super comfortable on my own. This is a great space to get your hands dirty and play without consequence, and make some really cool art pieces in the process
