I am writing this to warn other grieving families to check their paperwork carefully. Following my mother's passing, Apex Healthcare Services attempted to chase us for outstanding invoices from June 2026. When challenged under UK consumer law and CMA guidelines, the company's management openly admitted in writing that they do not possess a signed contract, signed terms of business, or signed financial agreement executed by either of my parents prior to the commencement of care.Instead, they are attempting to enforce invoices based entirely on a verbal discussion held during a highly stressful hospital discharge. Attempting to bill a vulnerable family without signed, transparent written pricing beforehand is a violation of basic regulatory standards. Pushing for payment using emotional pressure during a time of family bereavement is entirely unacceptable. Be very careful with this company’s billing methods."The complaint email address your team provided is incorrect and bounces back. I have therefore sent my formal complaint directly to your main business inbox instead.For the benefit of the public, your management has already admitted in writing that Apex does not possess a signed contract or signed financial agreement executed by my parents prior to billing. Attempting to enforce invoices based on an unwritten 'verbal agreement' forced during a high-stress hospital discharge is a direct breach of CMA consumer regulations.
