I really enjoyed classes here and enjoyed learning from professor Andre, coach Stormy and coach Eric.I thought I had found the gym that I'd be a part of long term, but after the way their program director singled me out one night that sealed the deal for me to go somewhere else.I came to a no gi class as wearing my rashguard and regular black leggings. Sandra pulled me out of the class and told me that I had to change into something with the GB logo on it or I couldn't train. However there were other females there wearing shorts and leggings that didn't have the GB logo just as there had been plenty of times before that. Let's not forget this isn't the first time that she did this to someone either and nothing was done about it.It became clear to me at this point that I wasn't welcome there and I would always have a target on my back for whatever reason after this happened. This is not the environment to be singling women out and being petty, especially from staff. I will say too, that the last women's open mat event that I attended when I was trying to give it another chance was really cliquey and awkward. Because of this me and the girl I brought from the Cedar Park location just ended up leaving without saying goodbye. Less

I have been to a handful of gyms and Gracie Bara-Round Rock feels like home. Gracie Barra-RR is a place in which one will get high quality instruction, friendly people, a clean facility, and class times that even the busiest schedule can make.Other places have limited class offerings, but at Gracie Barra-Round Rock, not only do they have a comprehensive Adult and Kids schedule, but one can also attend any other Gracie Barra in our area. This is great since the other two locations are in Cedar Park and Georgetown. It gives one a chance to meet others and learn from other high level instructors. I have also dropped in at schools in different states and have always been welcomed. This is a huge benefit.Professor Andre, Coach Sandra, and Coach Stormy create a welcoming environment in how they work to cultivate a culture of safety. Jiu Jitsu can be intimidating to start, but when you surround yourself with people that want to learn and work to create a great gym culture it makes an intimidating activity like jiu jitsu fun. They do a great job of onboarding people into jiu jitsu, which will ultimately make it fun for all. Less

Gracie Barra has a very family-friendly atmosphere, and training takes place in a very respectful environment. It is the perfect physical activity for me and my little 4-year-old boy. This BJJ gym brought me back the dream to learn a martial art. I am 39 yo and I’ve being training here for 4 months. Different of other gyms I was before this one was very welcoming to a newcomer woman on my age. I felt like I was capable to learn here. Professor Andre Sena is so professional and attentive to people differences and levels. I never fell left out here. I am o grateful I found this gym and I’m really learning jiu-jitsu.
