Sixteen years ago, circumstances obliged me to find a new dentist. As a long-time resident of Marlow Bottom, the choice seemed an obvious one, especially since my teeth and I had previously been travelling to Watford. That said, I’ve always considered switching dentists akin to changing hairdressers; initially both should be approached as intimate encounters with hopefully positive, though unknown, results.In the event, I need not have worried. La Perla, the previous incarnation of Marlow Valley Smiles, proved itself an extremely professional clinic, with the additional benefit of very friendly staff and state-of-the-art equipment. And while the company name and ownership may have changed (2025), along with even more state-of-the art equipment, the presence of the same dentists, dental hygienists and practice manager provides a reassuring continuity for patients. Highly recommended.

I have been a patient for many years. Karnan provides excellent dental care to me and my family. My son had experienced severe night time migraines for a few years and without his doctors managing to find the cause. Karnan was able to identify the probable cause - this has changed my son’s life. I always leave the practice feeling I have had a thorough check, I know what to do to prevent future problems and I am advised according to my need and not because the practice can make money from me. Jo always offers a warm welcome and I have great service from the hygienist. All round five stars!

This was my first visit to Marlow Valley Smiles and I would highly recommend it to others.Dr Satnam and her Nurse Carolina were fantastic and reassured me throughout the entire process.Dr Satnam fully explained what she was doing and advised me accordingly. From my very first consultation with Dr Sat, she was outstanding. Even discussing teeth makes me feel extremely queasy and anxious, and although I might not look like a nervous patient on the surface, the team recognised it immediately and treated me with genuine care, patience, and understanding. They never once made me feel awkward or embarrassed about my fear, which meant more than I can put into words.On the day of the surgery, the lady performing the extractions was quite simply an angel with her hands. Her technique, calmness, and constant reassurance turned what I had built up in my mind as a terrifying experience into something completely manageable. The anaesthetist was equally incredible. Professional, reassuring, and present throughout, making me feel safe from start to finish.I went into the procedure expecting serious pain and a very difficult recovery, especially as three problematic and complex teeth were being removed. But the surgery went far better than I could ever have imagined. By the very next day, I was in minimal pain, which speaks volumes about the level of skill and care taken during the extractions.I cannot thank Dr Sat and the entire team at Marlow Valley Smiles enough. Their compassion, professionalism, and surgical expertise turned something I was deeply anxious about into a smooth and genuinely positive experience.
