Almost from the outset, my health challenges have either disappeared or have become very well controlled over the many years I have had the blessing of being a patient at Slainte! For a long time now I have needed only little adjustments, but still I can always tell the difference. During my last visit, Dr. Vin noted that my kidneys and lungs were a bit off. Not to worry, he advised, just be sure to drink more water with a squeeze of lemon, consciously working to be better hydrated. While asthma and kidney stones have been my most serious illnesses when I was younger, neither has been on my mind for quite a while, but as soon as Dr. Vin gave his assessment, I realized that I had been ignoring some vague symptoms! Thank you, Slainte for all you do to keep me and so many others on a healthy path. I praise God for you every day!!!So I wrote the above appreciation a while back ( and do not know if I posted it correctly? LOL)In any case, I had an amazing healing yesterday after missing appointments for ten weeks, when I usually go every three weeks. A move to a greater distance away, with resultant complications, led me to put off keeping up the adjustments. Not a good plan!! However, now, thanks be to God, after only one visit, I can hear again!! (Allergies can make my eustacion tubes feel as though my whole head is filled with thick cotton!) But this morning, I realized that the "cotton" is gone! And I feel better all over! Thank you, Dr. Vin, and everyone at Slainte!!!!!Now a number of months have passed since the last post and recently I had an assessment. A few days later I realized that in filling the questionnaire, I did not even think about asthma, which has not occurred in ages, much less the allergic systemic itching that has often occurred in the evening, especially after walking outside. Testing for allergies had not turned up anything, but Dr. Vin kept the symptoms in mind with his treatment. After the last assessment I realized that this very trying condition has not recurred for many months either!!! Finally, prior to my last adjustment, I had seen my dermatologist who prescribed a medication to which I had an extreme reaction. Since I have a history of sensitivity to medication, including two episodes of anaphylaxis, this was an unsettling event. I was not sure whether to take Dr. Vin's time with this matter, but I have learned over the years that he is the one practitioner who truly treats the whole patient. Moreover, for this matter he had concrete solutions, including recommending a safe medication. I am a new patient at this practice and would love to share my experience. I had my first appointment this past Monday and it exceeded my expectations. I was nervous at first because I was fearful that my lower back pain would not go away with treatment. I also knew it would be expensive but I was so desperate for answers that I was willing to pay anything.Since the very first phone call with the practice, I have felt so seen. Everyone who works here has incredible people skills and makes you feel comfortable throughout the whole process.When I went in for my first appointment, they had me do some scans that really helped me figure out what parts of my spine are holding the most tension. The chiropractor also answered all my questions and made sure I understood exactly what he was trying to explain to me. I was the last patient of the day and most people just want to get out the door after a long work day, but they all took so much time with me and did not make me feel rushed at all.I asked them if they could do an adjustment for me that same day and they said yes. I think the most shocking part in all of this was that for the first time in a VERY long time, my backpain was practically nonexistent for a few hours the next day. This honestly made me want to cry. I am always in so much pain so waking up the next morning feeling zero pain for even the first couple hours of the day made me feel hopeful and confirmed that this chiropractor is where I need to be.They also have been very kind about working with me financially. They are going to set up a payment plan for me so that I can afford treatment without stressing too much about my finances. I truly could not recommend this practice enough. Not only did I have the pleasure of watching Dr. Bridget promote her future business, the benefits of Gonstead chiropractic, and most importantly - how to pronounce “Slainte” - I was Dr. Bridget’s very first patient on opening day!I Initially started receiving chiropractic treatment to correct some alignment issues and to support the physical work I was doing as an in-person, professional organizer.
