Never have I wished that a 10 star review existed other than now. Sidekicks Family Martial Arts Center was the BEST decision we made for our daughter! We moved 15min away from our home we've lived in her whole life(8 yrs) and that means new neighborhood, new school, no connections yet.. we tried the afterschool program and the mistreatment there shocked us. We tried another popular afterschool and it was not a fit.. we then tried sidekicks and haven't looked back. Our shy, always bored, mischief finding child found purpose, guidance, acceptance, encouragement, goals and a family feeling environment.Our daughter has struggled lately, with being diagnosed w adhd -school is difficult, stressful and she feels less than among peers. But at sidekicks, she thrives she feels as though she belongs, she feels seen. It's incredible to see our constant fidgety 8yr old "lock it up" and sit still, focused and listening to directions. To have goals and see hard work = achievements. The parents night out, give my husband and I a much needed and appreciated break. And I can say without a doubt my daughter is not only learning, and having fun, gaining skills to become an amazing person but we know she is safe. That's a peace of mind I dont take lightly. I am forever thankful that we found asidekicks, even though we experienced some not so great afterschool programs to get here..it makes us appreciate having a great thing that much more! We will forever be grateful to sidekicks, the Cabrera's are fantastic people who truly care about the kids and our community! We pray blessings and hedge of protection every night for sidekicks, staff and students with our daughter..she always mentions sidekicks in prayer. It's beautiful. We are proud to be apart of the Sidekicks Fam💙 if you ever needed to find a place for your kiddo to belong.. you have found it!

From the moment our boys started attending, we’ve had complete peace of mind knowing they are safe, secure, and well cared for during the hours of operation.What really stands out is how well they balance structure and fun. The kids stay active, engaged, and off screens, which we truly value. At the same time, they make space for homework when needed, helping our boys stay on track academically without adding stress at home.Most importantly, our boys absolutely love it there. They have built great relationships with the coaches and instructors, who are not only skilled but genuinely invested in the kids. Our child is in her 4th year of after school & summer camp with Sidekicks and loves it!The coaches are all so kind and really great at connecting with the kids.Our daughter’s confidence has improved so much over the last few years and it’s been really special to see her take pride in learning new skills and pushing herself!The program is very well structured and provides a great balance between discipline and fun. And safety is very clearly a priority, which gives us a peace of mind.We highly recommend them to any family looking for a safe, fun and well-run after-school program!

Sidekicks martial Arts is the place to be. Not only are the instructors knowledgeable, but they are kind, caring, and respectful. They continuously train their staff and have the best safety protocols I’ve seen in regards to keeping the students and kids under their care as safe as possible. The owner, Manny, is an incredibly genuine person. If you’re looking for a safe, structured, and FUN environment, look no further. And that goes not only for their evening martial arts programs, but their after school and summer camp as well. 10/10 would recommend every time.

Mr Cruz has a gift for encouraging and challenging the kids. Tried to visit the facility to sign up my 3 kids but, they won’t let you see the environment with kids in it. We are looking for a structured environment and without being able to see that that exists, we don’t feel comfortable signing our kids up.Even just opening the door to allow us to see the environment and what the energy is like would have been helpful. All I heard was chaos behind the door though.The other martial arts after school program that also picks up from the school, allowed us in. Kids were calm and it seemed well organized. I was pushing to have my kids Sidekicks for various reasons, but after our experience, we have chosen the other.

We've been a part of the Sidekicks Tae-kwon-do family for a while now, and I can't say enough good things. The classes are structured, the instructors truly care about each child's progress, and the environment is positive and respectful. It's more than just martial arts - it's character building. It's not just my child who benefits from theses classes - I've picked up a few valuable lessons myself just by listening to the instructors positive and motivating approach.

I’m so grateful for Sidekicks and the incredible impact it’s had on my granddaughter. This martial arts after-school program and summer camp is like a second home for her—she absolutely loves it! Every time I pick her up early, she begs to stay longer, which says it all. The way Sidekicks teaches focus, respect, and self-discipline in such a warm, family-like environment is truly special. I’ve watched my granddaughter’s confidence soar and her ability to stay focused improve so much since she started.Mr. and Mrs. Cabrera, Mr. Cruz, Mrs. Alley, and Coach Stephanie are amazing. They’ve created a place where kids grow, not just in martial arts but as people. The young coaches are such positive role models—my granddaughter looks up to them and wants to be like them. The confidence Sidekicks has instilled in my son has been amazing to watch. We struggle a lot of time with his stubborn behavior and many times we are having meltdowns on the drive to EMA class because he doesn't want to go, or isn't very good at it, etc. but we persevere through these moments day by day and it pays off!Most recently, my son received his new belt and was so proud of himself that it lead to a very eye-opening conversation (initiated by him!) in which he really exemplified his awareness of working hard, being respectful and most importantly being brave. In his words “I love Sidekicks so much, I just want to keep being brave and leveling up. I will be a black belt one day!”Sidekicks has been instrumental in changing the trajectory for us and we couldn’t recommend them more!
