I have been going to John for a few months now, this is probably my sixth visit. From the start (see my previous review) I could feel that John was the most intuitive, knowledgable massage therapist I have ever been to (and I've been to many). Yesterdays visit was especially special...now that many of the more surface aches pains and issues in my body were in control, he was able to focus on my rotator cuffs and hip areas that despite my flexibility and mobility have always caused me to hunch my shoulders, shorten my neck and slump my normal posture. I have to say after I left, and walking around the rest of today, i don't think I have EVER felt such RELIEF and that my posture was NORMAL! I didn't have the need to force my shoulders down, they simply rested in a proper position!!!! Additionally the work he did on my hip flexors that no one has ever done before made me able to use my legs, hamstrings normally again, and not be noticing knee pain or instability as I have for the past six months. John is literally curative. He is like medicine! My entire nervous system has settled down as a result and i feel like GOLD! His techniques and hands are like magic!! That recommendation turned out to be spot on.My first visit was a two-hour session that went far beyond anything I’ve experienced before. It included a detailed diagnostic evaluation, targeted stretching, hands-on treatment, and clear instruction on between-session stretches, exercises, and even thoughtful recommendations for simple in-home equipment. This was not a generic massage. It was a comprehensive therapeutic assessment and treatment.I have dealt with hip osteoarthritis pain for more than five years. While diet and exercise have recently improved my mobility, my goal now is to further reduce pain and postpone a total hip replacement for as long as possible. John immediately understood that goal and tailored the session accordingly.He was professional, thorough, and genuinely engaged, listening carefully to both my capabilities and my limitations.
