There was a lot of meaning behind this design and I feel like I was ripped off when I was most vulnerable, Aneae was told why we wanted this and took advantage still charging us for 3 hours work each 6 hours in total, when she was finished in an hour including having her lunch and a fag break, she was an absolute con artist and I would definitely not recommend her to anyone, such a shame because the other artists there are lovely, the owner nick was understanding and did give me a £200 voucher to use with any artist after I told him what had happened and he explained she only rents a chair, My husband did use this voucher towards getting a tattoo with another artist, I did come in and see Tom for a consultation to see what they could do about my tattoo and was told because I was tanned and older there wasn’t anything that could be done to improve mine, it is what it is that’s fine, on your reply to this review you say the prep work involved would of taken still and time, I gave her the tattoo she printed it and that was all the prep done it literally took 10 minutes and me and my daughter used the same stencil. As I said the stables have some very good artists but I definitely would not recommend Aneae she massively over charged me. Less

I had an absolutely brilliant experience at The Old Stables Tattoo Studio and I cannot recommend it enough to anyone wanting to get a tattoo done, especially if it'll be your first. The studio is very clean and snug, tucked away down a quiet alley and every single member of staff that I had the pleasure of meeting was so lovely and welcoming and the little community that they have made there was so incredible to be a part of. My tattoo artist, Aneae, was especially accommodating and kind, and she really made me feel more at ease and comfortable with the process as I was quite nervous because this was only my second tattoo. But from the moment I got in contact with her about my idea, expressing my worries and probably failing to explain in words what I wanted, the experience was nothing but positive. We'd discuss how the design would work and bounced ideas off of each other, and I felt that I was in the very good hands of someone who is very confident in what she is doing and who is an expert in their field. I especially appreciated how I was able to see her sketch of my custom design a few days before I was scheduled to be tattooed, and that I was then also able to make minor tweaks to it, too. On the day of, I took some time deciding which arm I wanted done, unsure of what would look best and thinking, last minute, that I only wanted tattoos on one arm, and everyone - staff and clients alike - was so supportive. Aneae in particular was so patient and accommodating with me and expressed how it was my body that was getting tattooed and so the most important thing was that I liked the placement and how it looked, and that I was happy. I will definitely be commissioning Aneae as a tattoo artist again in the future, and can't wait for that time to come - she was so lovely and sweet and I had a brilliant experience with her as my artist. 100/10 will definitely be recommending her to everyone I meet that wants a tattoo from now on. Today was my first experience there and it was amazing! The team was so welcoming and kind and the vibes were so fun and positive while I waited and during the appointment itself. Paula did my tattoo and she is AMAZING!!! She is so kind and bubbly and I felt so welcomed and informed throughout the process. She's a fellow Lord of the Rings fan which is so much fun too as I requested a LotR-inspired piece. I plan on coming back time and time again to complete a whole sleeve as I am completely in love with how my tattoo turned out. She printed out different sized stencils of the tattoo she designed and demonstrated what the tattoo would look like on different areas of my arm as I was unsure where exactly I wanted it and explained the movement of the muscles and bones and how that'd affect the way the tattoo looks from different angles and with different arm rotations. I decided on the inside of the forearm and it's perfect! Paula took better photos than the one I took myself and attached here, but it'll give you a good idea of how gorgeous her work is (I'll attach another photo once it's healed too)! I'm so thrilled and can't thank her enough nor say enough kind things about her and her work! Some side notes: The coffee was amazing, thank you!! And I love that they have bottles of waters for grabs - that definitely came in handy now during the heatwave :) I can't wait to come back! Thank you so much!!! Less
