We had such a great experience with Kenny B at Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids in Highland Village!I booked last-minute back-to-school haircuts for my boys on 8/10 because it was the only chance we had before school started on 8/13. Unfortunately, we were running very late, to the point that I canceled one of the appointments because I assumed there was no way they could still fit us both in.When we arrived, I learned Kenny was the only stylist working. I apologized for being so late, but she was incredibly kind and never made us feel bad about it. She had already moved another appointment up while waiting for us, and told me that if we didn’t mind letting another family go ahead of us, she would skip her lunch and still make sure both of my boys got their haircuts. I was incredibly grateful.While we waited, I also had the opportunity to watch Kenny work with another family whose child was having a very difficult time with the haircut experience. I was so impressed by the patience, empathy, and compassion she showed. She calmly worked through the emotional and physical reactions without ever making the child or family feel embarrassed or ashamed.That really stuck with me because my oldest can also have some pretty strong reactions to the sensory experience of getting his hair cut. Seeing how naturally Kenny handled that situation immediately made me feel like we were in the right place.Both of my boys walked out with fresh cuts that looked amazing, and I walked out with a new favorite location and stylist.Thank you, Kenny, for your kindness, patience, and for going above and beyond for us. We’ll definitely be back!

My confirmation said the stylists name was Kenny but forgot to ask the lady’s name! She was working on 8/11 all alone and was so efficient and kind to all customers. She took her time to understand the cuts my kids picked out and would check in with me what I thought during the process. She was kind and professional. My kids are so happy with their first visit to Sharkey’s and we will definitely be back!
