Motivating. Encouraging. Uplifting. Results.
These four words are words that I consistently use to describe Rogue Performance to others that ask me about it. I began training at Rogue Performance around September 2013 and began noticing the definition of the four words. Being a collegiate athlete for 4 years I enjoyed the support and successes of my team. Going to a regular gym and exercising by myself, keeping myself accountable, and getting results was extremely challenging. I had no one to motivate me, encourage me, and lift me up when I was feeling down and, therefore, I was getting no results.
When one steps through the front door at Rogue they'll be greeted by Jon, Margaret, or Matt. Each coach is ready to help you better yourself during that session, not only physically but mentally as well. If they see you struggling through a workout or lift they step right up with some motivating words and give you instruction and encouragement. If you fail at a lift, no coach or client will think any less of you. In fact, everyone steps in to encourage you and tell you to give it one more shot. Successes and struggles are celebrated with everyone at the gym, and there is no lack of motivation, encouragement, or uplifting attitudes that help everyone reach the results they desire.
Having had memberships at general gyms I never would have received the results there as I have at Rogue. The coaching staff at Rogue doesn't just coach you on how to lift, but on how to move better, feel better, and improve your overall health. I've had back problems since I was 14 and each coach is constantly asking how my back feels, if certain lifts hurt, and if I need to substitute a lift to keep from my angering my back. For any client that is having movement issues the coaches will do their research and take steps toward alleviating the pain and improve a client's movement. At a general gym there will not be a coach or staff member that is willing to get to know each client personally; their weaknesses, their strengths, their pains, their aspirations. Jon, Margaret, and Matt create friendships with each client and help them better themselves each workout.
Each client is at a different level of fitness and receives encouraging reminders that you can continually improve yourself if you are willing to put in the work. At Rogue, with the constant motivation, encouragement and uplift, bettering yourself will become more fun than you could ever imagine. The air in the gym is filled with excitement, aspirations, and sweat from each client, and each client knows that they are becoming better physically and mentally. Everyone at Rogue is excited to help each other achieve goals and break barriers that seemed out of reach. If you are looking for a gym that is supportive and enjoyable, then there is no better place than Rogue Performance.
