I booked 4 sessions of day training with Mariah for my dog, Petunia, with the big goal of eventually testing for therapy dog certification. But, we had some basic things to work through such as reacting to other dogs while on walks. Mariah has some amazing tools up her sleeve that really helped Petunia make big strides in her training! I am very satisfied with everything she did for us and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a dog trainer. Mariah was always on time, focused, and responsive when communicating in between lessons. 10/10!

We are absolutely thrilled to have found Mariah Hines to support us since we adopted out new puppy in January. When we adopted Penny, we knew we wanted to start her off on the right foot, and Mariah was an obvious choice in the area. She has supported us with everything from potty and crate training to advanced manners, both at home and in public. Penny was a little shy at first, and Mariah’s encouragement helped both her and us grow in confidence.Throughout the process, Mariah has helped us train Penny completely force/fear free, and has involved the whole family, even working directly with our 3- and 7-year-olds on occasion. She has tailored an approach that is unique to our needs, always listening to what is going well, and where we need additional support.Most importantly, Mariah has been super supportive of my husband and I as first-time puppy parents, but veteran dog owners. We have some hang ups from our first rescue, who we loved deeply, but didn’t have the time or resources to train and support in the way we wanted to. Mariah has been patient as we’ve asked all the questions, an encouraged us every step of the way.We’ve had such a great experience with Mariah that we decided to extend our initial training sessions. We thought at first that we just wanted to get Penny’s manners to a “good enough” place, but when we saw what’s possible with Mariah’s support, we were encouraged to raise our expectations, and are now on our way to have a dog that can be a constant companion for our family, at home, and in public!

Working with Mariah has been such a positive experience. She really takes the time to listen to my concerns and create a plan that feels realistic and tailored to both me and Willow.I especially appreciate her focus on positive, force-free training and how supported I’ve felt throughout the process. The puppy stage is definitely a little chaotic at times (potty training, routines, all of it), but she’s made it feel so much more manageable.Even though we’re still early in our training journey, I’m already seeing progress with Willow and feel so much more confident in what I’m doing.I’m really grateful to have her as a partner in helping Willow grow and learn.

Mariah is a great trainer who always had good advice. She knows dogs well. Dizzy is almost a year and a great addition to our family with Mariah’s help. It was easy to schedule training sessions. Mariah would come to our house and Dizzy’s day care to pick her up for sessions. She is a very good communicator.

Mariah took such great care and attention to all the little and big problem areas when training my dog. She has a set schedule when coming over to my house, picking up my dog and dropping off my dog. The communication was great. I loved seeing the videos of my dog out on public training that was a nice thing to receive.

Working with Mariah has been great for our family and Gumbo. We were struggling with some stressful and frustrating behavioral issues. From our very first consultation, Mariah listened to our concerns and created a thoughtful, personalized training plan that was tailored to our goals. It’s been amazing to see how quickly Gumbo has responded to the training and to positive reinforcement. He's so much better now and rarely nips, and his counter-surfing and leash-pulling are practically non-existent. Mariah has been an incredible partner on this journey, checking in with us regularly and making sure we stay on schedule. It feels great to have a knowledgeable and supportive training partner who is genuinely here for us and our dog. We feel so much more empowered and confident in our ability to communicate with Gumbo.

I apologize for the previous 4 star review. I completed it on my phone and in a hurry and meant it to be 5 stars.Our pup is a German Shorthair Pointer which is a very active and curious, yet smart breed. We had a hard time trying to get her to not pull when walking, stop jumping on people and trying to control her overall excitement when out and about. Mariah did a great job in training her and we are so happy to be able to take our GSP wherever we go.We highly recommend Mariah.

We’ve had such a wonderful experience working with Mariah! From the very beginning, she really listened to what was important to us and created a thoughtful training plan that aligned with our goals, without using stress or confrontation. Her positive, force-free approach made us feel supported and confident every step of the way.She came to our home to pick up our puppy, which not only made training convenient but also helped him get more comfortable with car rides and leaving the house. After every session, we received a detailed report on what went well and what we needed to work on, which kept us on track and involved in the process.We’ve seen such a positive transformation in our dog. Archer walks calmly on the leash, barks less, doesn’t get into things around the house, and rarely jumps on people anymore. He’s also learning to self-settle and now stays in place while we’re cooking in the kitchen...something we never thought would be possible so soon!We’re so excited to be using positive methods, and we truly feel like we have a training partner who’s here for both us and our dog. The foundation she’s helped us build has made all the difference. Highly recommend!
