Our son started jiu-jitsu last August, and in the beginning he cried almost every day because he was nervous. But over time everything changed. Now he has so much confidence and has learned so much from Coach Frank. It has been amazing to watch his growth.My husband also trains there, and he really enjoys it as well. The environment is supportive, encouraging, and great for both kids and adults.I highly recommend lake Mohawk MMA if you’re looking for a place where your kids can stay active, build confidence, and learn discipline. The gym is exceptionally clean and well maintained, creating comfortable environment. They are genuinely welcoming, which makes it easy to feel at home regardless of your experience level. Frank is an amazing coach with some serious knowledge. Great instruction along with some great training partners. When I first walked in, I was greeted by Frank and everyone. They guided me every step of the way. I highly recommend this gym whether you're a white belt or a black belt. Come through and train you won't regret it!!!

We absolutely love this BJJ studio! Coach Frank is amazing—A+ instruction, real self-defense skills, and a fun, energetic environment. My kids leave smiling and can’t wait to come back. He’s patient, personable, and explains everything clearly. Couldn’t be happier!

Coach Frank is a great instructor! He runs his class in an orderly fashion with humor and patience with young kids. He makes sure each kid has personal attention and understands the instructions.My daughter is 8yrs old, and pretty small for her age. I signed her up not only for self defense, but to build confidence and mental toughness as a way to channel her strong personality.I've seen her grow, even in the short time she has been going. She's told me she loves what she's learning in the classes.I've watched her incorporate the lessons from each class, and she's become quite formidable on the mat. Even with much bigger kids!Mentally, I've seen her confidence grow in and outside of the gym. She's shed that fear of being the pipsqueak in the room :)I couldn't be happier about everything it's doing for her, and I look forward to seeing her development and progress.Worth every penny!

Can't say enough good things about this gym. Such a welcoming atmosphere and Frank really takes the time to make sure you're comfortable and well taken care of. Id recommend this place to anyone looking to learn BJJ in the area.
