I did the 8 weekly private sessions with Rene to train Mysty my 2 year old American Pitbull Terrier. Then after the evaluation of understanding my issues of Mysty being reactive to random sounds & noises and rigorous pulling of the leash on trying to walk her we got started.In these 8 weeks of private sessions learning and providing all the tools provided by Rene my girl has transformed and improved immensely and has come over these issues I was facing with her. We brought our two dogs to René for a 2-week board and train followed by 5 weekly sessions, and the results have been nothing short of amazing. We actually drove out from Sacramento after our original trainers referred us to him — the girls had gotten into a fight, and when we tried to break it up, my husband was bitten in the chaos. It was a really stressful moment, and our original trainers knew we needed help from someone with experience with dogs whose aggression has escalated.Before training, we were dealing with reactivity both inside and outside the house, potty training issues, and growing tension between the dogs. I’ll admit I was unsure about the structured training approach at first, but René explained everything so clearly and made sure we understood how to follow through at home. Once we committed to the process, everything started to change.The progress we’ve seen has been incredible — our dogs are calmer, more confident, and we finally feel in control of our household again. Our puppy Apollo recently completed his training with René from Fur Real K9, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience and results! Some background: René was recommended to me by a former client of his. I had commented on how calm and happy his dog was, and he could probably tell that I was seriously in the trenches - running on very little sleep and covered in puppy bites and scratches - so he knew I had to call René! We had just brought our puppy home from the shelter and I was really struggling with some of his more concerning behaviors: reactivity on walks, chasing our cat, and most of all - biting and being aggressive toward me.From the moment we began working with René, we saw immediate results. He was able to give insight into the cause of some of Apollo’s behaviors, and he provided us with clear, actionable strategies. His expertise and patience transformed our puppy in a matter of days.What’s more, René didn’t just fix the immediate problems; he provided us with the knowledge and tools to keep practicing and working with Apollo on new skills every day. It might seem obvious, but life is so much easier with two well-trained dogs! I reached out to Lorenzo's Dog Training to work with my 4-year-old female Malamute, Luna, who was reactive to other dogs on walks and becoming increasingly aggressive and possessive of resources with our 9-year-old male Malamute, Rex.Rene from Lorenzo's came to our home for an initial assessment of both dogs. It was a bit of an embarrassing experience, to be honest! Both dogs were howling uncontrollably (which isn't their usual behavior), and we had a hard time getting them to settle down. Rene immediately noticed Luna's shift in behavior as she started to fixate on Rex before trying to attack him, and he had us create more distance between them.He suggested a 2-week board-and-train program for Luna to work on basic training and behavior modification, and at-home sessions for Rex to focus on basic obedience. Rex knew the commands, but being the stubborn Malamute that he is, he chose to ignore them!It was hard for me to let Luna go; I was so worried about her being away from home. But Rene sent updates, videos, and pictures of her progress, and I was amazed at how much she improved in just a few days! She was walking alongside other dogs without issue and even in the same room with them without trying to attack.While Luna stayed with Rene, we started at-home sessions for Rex, focusing on basic things like proper leash handling to set the foundation for the rest of the training.Eight sessions later for Rex, and after Luna's board-and-train, they are like new dogs! They both listen to commands when given; the selective listening is gone. They can both walk on and off leash—we even walked around Santana Row with them off-leash! Not distracted by other people or dogs.Friends and family have commented on how much better behaved they are. There isn't 160+ pounds of dog rushing the door when people come over. They don't beg at the table. I can unload groceries, cook, do anything without constantly telling them to move or not run out the door, no more repeating the same command over and over again. We can actually take them just about anywhere and know they will behave.These were all things I didn't consider when I reached out to Lorenzo's Dog Training. I was just hoping to fix some behavioral issues with Luna. Rene is the best. He was amazing to work with and has really improved our lives with the pups, and their lives as well. They both have more freedom now than they did before.I wish I reached out earlier. For our next pup, we're going to start this process from the beginning with Rene.

Had a wonderful experience with our trainer Janice. We have a Stradfordshire Bull Terrier/Pit mix that was nearly impossible to control, let alone take for walks. Janice took her for a week and we got her back calm and obedient. She also trained our family all about her behavior, why she behaves that way and how to handle it. Now that we have been trained, our pet experience is AMAZING. Thanks, Janice!!!!

Amazing results from caring, compassionate and knowledgeable trainers who love dogs SO much. Nai helped us turn our timid, skiddish bb into a calm & confident dog. We went from counter surfing and zero leash manners to long luxurious walks and beautiful table manners. 10/10 would recommend Nai as a trainer. She has a deep love and respect for dogs and the relationships we forge with them. Her knowledge and care put both humans and dogs at ease.
