I’ve been working with JAL Landscape and its owner, Jelmin, for nearly a decade for all my landscaping needs at our home in Basking Ridge—everything from planting and hardscaping to mulch and regular maintenance. Jelmin and his team have always delivered exceptional work, but the most impressive project by far was the mixed-use pickleball/basketball court they built in our backyard last spring.This was a major undertaking that involved:-Building over 100 feet of retaining walls-Excavating and removing 35+ truckloads of dirt-Regrading the entire yard-Installing 15 drywells-Full paving, hardscaping, fencing, landscape lighting-And fully landscaping and sodding the spaceJelmin was professional, communicative, and dependable from start to finish. He completed the project on time and on budget, and the finished product is nothing short of phenomenal. I cannot say enough good things about Jal Landscaping! The owner Jelmer is a great guy and really helped me make my vision a reality and then take it to the next level. About 8 years ago I heard about Jal Landscaping from my uncle who used them to redo a retaining wall that another company messed up, the wall still looks great today. At that time, I had Jal Landscaping redo a paver patio around my pool and fix settling pavers in my driveway and it came out amazing, again he imparted his wisdom and made it look 10 times better than the original patio. My current project that was just completed, we replaced a small deck with an amazing stone porch and patio, and complete landscaping of my backyard. We are very happy and satisfied with the work and his workers were amazing. You can tell they took pride in their work; "in my younger years I worked construction and know what quality work looks like." Also, I had done my homework and gotten other estimates, and Jal Landscaping was competitively priced. If you meet Jelmer you will know right away he is honest and trustworthy and not a guy who takes shortcuts. So, with all that being said I highly recommend Jelmer and Jal Landscaping for your next project.
