I want to preface my statements by saying I fully respect black owned businesses, especially when they are meeting the needs of their consumers and operating with integrity. As sure as we seek to acknowledge good services when they are rendered, we need to be just as intentional in calling them out when they deliver terrible service. Our church had a very unsatisfactory experience with Madison Accounting Service this past October. We trusted them to perform accounting and bookkeeping services only to find none of the services were perform and some of our required services for church operation were on the verge of being disconnected because of their (Ivan ((assigned accountant)) and Johnny or Dwight ((the perceived)) owner) failures to follow through. We made several attempts to get answers but only got excuses... We have also asked several times to be reimbursed of the $1,500 paid to them, only to be told by Johnny that he does not have the money to pay the church back. This is unacceptable because if you had any decency and/or honest intent to make the wrong right here, at a minimum, you would make a payment plan. Needless to say, we are very disappointed, and all we hope with this post is that no one else has to experience the same letdown and disappointment with Madison Accounting Service.
