I cannot say enough good things about New England Aquatic Landscaping! Buckle up, this is a long ride, but, in summary, this company absolutely rocks and if you’re considering them, you should hire them. Three years ago, we bought a house with a neglected koi pond, were only just able to get help for it this summer, and NEAL went so far above and beyond to assist us!Dom & Sixto drained the pond, moved all the fish (and one frog) into a holding tank, cleaned out probably six or more inches of solid muck, cleaned the bottom and sides of the pond, checked it thoroughly for damage, assessed the health of our 43(!!!) fish, treated the water, and returned the fish (and one frog) to the newly spotless pond with clear, clean water. During this process, it was quickly determined that our pond was unlike any they’d seen before, made of materials that haven’t been used for years, potentially leaking in several places, lacking any filtration, and likely only salvageable through a big repair or rebuild. They knew early in the day that a repair/rebuild would be too expensive for us and they probably wouldn’t be getting a sale from this endeavor, and never once did they let that impact their thoroughness, their quality of service, or their professionalism.Even though they knew they’d probably never see us again, Dom & Sixto spent SEVEN HOURS in 90 degree weather, in a 6-foot-deep pit of rancid fish poop water, while I hovered around them blabbing incessantly like a giant mosquito, all in order to provide us with the best possible cleaning. They were kind, personable, funny, patient, and overall delightful to work with. Dom went out of his way to openly discuss the pros and cons of trying to work with our pond, knowing his honesty would likely result in us deciding to forego additional work. We were quoted $1300 for the cleaning & assessment and, despite the fact that I’m pretty certain our pond ended up being significantly more work than anticipated, $1300 is what I was charged. They never said a word about the length of the visit (I think they were here 2-3 hours longer than expected) or made any attempt to charge more. Other companies quoted me twice as much for the same service and I honestly don’t know that they’d do as thorough a job for a lost cause like us.Most importantly, though, is that both Dom & Sixto were genuinely concerned with the well-being of our fish and wildlife. They did everything they could to make sure the fish - which turned out to all be goldfish, though one may have had a great-great grandparent who was a koi - one frog and one rogue salamander were healthy, safe, and in the best possible condition. The frog & salamander peaced out immediately upon tasting freedom but, thanks to NEAL, my fish are now living their happiest, best lives right down the road at an aquatic animal haven that has a big pond just for needy goldfish & koi. After three years of agonizing nearly every single day over the state of the pond and the quality of life of the fish, I was finally able to give them their best chance and I cannot describe the amount of relief that’s given me (and thus given my family). It is not an exaggeration or overstatement to say that NEAL legitimately improved our lives.I think it’s extremely rare to find a business that values integrity, honesty, and understanding of their customers’ needs more than they value simply making a sale. I think it’s even more rare to find a company of people willing to work so hard to both take pride in their work and care for the wildlife that may be impacted by it. If NEAL are as dedicated to all their jobs as they were to helping me with my disaster, then there is no other company I’d recommend for any and all aquatic landscaping needs.

Hi Shawn. Cheryl and I are enjoying an evening on our patio overlooking our fish pond. We recently added a heron sculpture to overlook the pond. The water lily is getting bigger and more leaves are coming to the surface and there is a bud that has breached the service and we will have our first lily of the season soon. We have been enjoying the pond and we also have a number of birds that have been enjoying it. I have many bird feeders so there are a lot of birds on our property. The birds have discovered the pool at the very top of the pond and we have had fun watching the birds splash around in it as they take a bath. Thanks for the great work that you and your team do.😀

I inherited a goldfish pond that the previous owner had DIY’ed, and unfortunately, it was on its last leg and desperately needed a remodel.
