I would not recommend this orthodontic office under any circumstances. My experience has been deeply disappointing, both professionally and ethically. To begin, my brackets were placed excessively high on my teeth, which resulted in significant gum overgrowth. When I brought this to their attention, my concerns were dismissed simply because the dental assistant responsible was no longer employed there. There was no accountability, no corrective plan, and no concern shown for the long-term impact on my oral health. As time progressed and I became financially responsible for my own treatment, I was quoted one balance, only for that amount to continuously change without clear explanation. I was initially told my remaining balance was $1,400; however, I paid well beyond that amount and was effectively owed money. Throughout the entire course of my treatment, the orthodontist personally saw me only twice. All other appointments were handled by assistants, and I was never clearly informed of my treatment timeline, progress, or expected completion date. I continued making payments under the assumption that my treatment was still necessary, trusting the office to act in my best interest. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. When it came time to remove my braces and correct the gum overgrowth caused by their initial error, I had scheduled my appointment accordingly. On that same day, my OB-GYN advised me that I was too far along in my pregnancy to undergo dental procedures. I immediately contacted the orthodontic office to reschedule, only to be informed I would still be charged a $50 cancellation fee — despite notifying them the same day due to medical advice. Their own policy states appointments can be rescheduled without penalty within 48 hours, yet no understanding or flexibility was extended.I was told I could call back after giving birth to proceed at the originally agreed price. Now, I am being informed that I must pay an additional $125 fee just to schedule an appointment for updated X-rays and to see the doctor — even though my only request is to have my braces removed and to correct a problem that originated from their mistake. On top of that, my balance has once again changed to an entirely different amount. The issue here is not financial hardship — it is the lack of transparency, consistency, and basic human decency. Life happens. Medical circumstances arise. Patients deserve clear communication, fair billing practices, and respectful treatment. Instead, I have experienced shifting fees, minimal doctor involvement, poor accountability, and communication that feels dismissive and condescending.Healthcare providers should prioritize patient trust and ethical standards. Unfortunately, this office has demonstrated neither. After years of treatment and thousands of dollars invested, I am left feeling unheard, misled, and profoundly disappointed.Patients deserve better.
